ElTwis Posted July 11 Posted July 11 Best case scenario here is CB is trying to add a few quid to his wages through an agent encouraging offers to force Rovers' hands. Β Worst case (and significantly more likely I'd suggest) the offers have been submitted because the clubs are aware he wants to leave and, let's be honest, who can blame him. Quote
Bronzed A Donis Posted July 11 Posted July 11 I guess these players leaving just aren't as sold on 'the project'. 1 Quote
rovers11 Posted July 11 Posted July 11 Oh damn! As soon as other clubs start bidding for our players...we know there's only one result, especially when they only have one year on their contract.Β If we lose Brittain and Batth, it is a big blow.Β 2 Quote

Neal Posted July 11 Posted July 11 I wouldn't sell Derby a cold... If he's going, they need to be selling to Boro, even if it is for less cash. Eustace can get fucked, the lying fat prick.Β 8 1 Quote

Popular Post Neal Posted July 11 Popular Post Posted July 11 A few folk gloating about us "spending money" need to wind their neck in and face the reality of how this club is run FFS. 15 1 Quote
davulsukur Posted July 11 Posted July 11 Selling Brittain undoes any good work in the market so far. Underlines the complete and total lack of ambition at this football club. #VenkysOut 8 Quote
simongarnerisgod Posted July 11 Posted July 11 all this complete lack of ambition and cheap signings can`t be good for squad morale,as a player you always want to play at a higher level not the other way round, bet they are all looking at the exit door and it`d be no surprise if more move out, especially the ones who can command a fee Quote
philipl Posted July 11 Posted July 11 So even without Swag and his mistiming equipment we are cocking up our transfer business. 2 Quote

sharpysharps86 Posted July 11 Posted July 11 Oh dear. Just when things were looking slightly better. Can't imagine Brittain staying now that official bids have been lodged, unless he's really settled at the club. Imagine if both he and Dolan end up at Derby. Pretty embarrassing stuff. 4 Quote

Thatβs one of the reasons why he left - there was no forward planning. But you stick with your bitter jilted-ex persona and get those rubber snakes ready for next year. Hisssssss. Hisssssss. We as fans need to remove logical football club rules from our thought process when we sell players. Selling players pays bills with crumbs left for replacements, that is a fact. 1 Quote
JHRover Posted July 11 Posted July 11 Does anyone out there really believe the claim that we have been close to sorting a contract extension? They're playing you for fools if so.Β Nixon and Jackson are pawns being used to hoodwink the fans. I doubt they know or care. 5 Quote

EgyptianPete Posted July 11 Posted July 11 So how many matches did Brittan miss last season through injury, Middlesbrough flatter to deceive, no chance they will go up, Derby the same, if he goes to either tam it is only for money probably not that much more. Baath another year older, legs probably never going to be as good stamina wise, Weiman the same, yes they may be missed, however we now have some youth in the team, I would imagine 2 or 3 more players to come in, lets see how we do before all the doom eh. 2 Quote
rog of the rovers Posted July 11 Posted July 11 I donβt think Middlesbrough are as attractive a move as they were a couple of years ago. Will be interesting to see how Edwards does, will he be the boss that took Luton up? Or the boss that all but took a Luton down two years later? id be onto my agent to go higher than Boro and Derby if I was Cal. 1 Quote
Bohinen1983 Posted July 11 Posted July 11 Probably not tied the CM up yet because we've not yet flogged Brittain..Β You neve know (you do) but this lad coming in might be even better.. Perhaps we're signing players that 'fit' the profile of how we want to play moving forwards.. Sometimes the collective equates to more than the sum of it's parts- something like that.. End of the day the club's fairly handicapped with relation to spending. Did Venkys ever intend on splashing big cash?Β Was it not 5m a year and leases or something like that? Genuinely can't remember! I don't really think we've ever spent- consider when we bought Rhodes and Best we'd flogged Samba, Kalanic and Jones as well as pushed loads of high earners (Emerton, Salgado, Nelsen etc) out the club.. VENKYS OUT! DO ONE!Β Β Those early days, sacking Big Sam etc- I just want them gone.. Β Β Β Quote

AVE1875 Posted July 11 Posted July 11 Yesterday... Signing 2 players and Brittain is signing a new contract... Signed one... Today, 2nd signing stalled and Brittain might be going Boro... Don't you just love being a Blackburn fan. 4 Quote
