Best case scenario here is CB is trying to add a few quid to his wages through an agent encouraging offers to force Rovers' hands.

 

Worst case (and significantly more likely I'd suggest) the offers have been submitted because the clubs are aware he wants to leave and, let's be honest, who can blame him.

all this complete lack of ambition and cheap signings can`t be good for squad morale,as a player you always want to play at a higher level not the other way round,bet they are all looking at the exit door and it`d be no surprise if more move out,especially the ones who can command a fee

Makes no difference. If we get money for a player it just means Venky's send less money for the gas bills.

Eustace told us all he wanted his senior players to get new contracts but the club were refusing to discuss. That’s one of the reasons why he left - there was no forward planning.

But you stick with your bitter jilted-ex persona and get those rubber snakes ready for next year. Hisssssss. Hisssssss.

I'm 100% with you on this. We as fans need to remove logical football club rules from our thought process when we sell players. Selling players pays bills with crumbs left for replacements, that is a fact.

How did you feel about Rothwell and Brereton leaving for nothing ? Reality is the Venkys don't get a penny - they just need to put less in to keep us afloat.

So how many matches did Brittan miss last season through injury, Middlesbrough flatter to deceive, no chance they will go up, Derby the same, if he goes to either tam it is only for money probably not that much more.

Baath another year older, legs probably never going to be as good stamina wise, Weiman the same, yes they may be missed, however we now have some youth in the team, I would imagine 2 or 3 more players to come in, lets see how we do before all the doom eh.

I don’t think Middlesbrough are as attractive a move as they were a couple of years ago. Will be interesting to see how Edwards does, will he be the boss that took Luton up? Or the boss that all but took a Luton down two years later?

id be onto my agent to go higher than Boro and Derby if I was Cal.

Probably not tied the CM up yet because we've not yet flogged Brittain..

Perhaps we're signing players that 'fit' the profile of how we want to play moving forwards..

Sometimes the collective equates to more than the sum of it's parts- something like that..

End of the day the club's fairly handicapped with relation to spending. Did Venkys ever intend on splashing big cash?  Was it not 5m a year and leases or something like that? Genuinely can't remember!

I don't really think we've ever spent- consider when we bought Rhodes and Best we'd flogged Samba, Kalanic and Jones as well as pushed loads of high earners (Emerton, Salgado, Nelsen etc) out the club..

Brittain isn’t going for money. He’s going because he now knows the club has no ambition and is run like a shit show. The exact same reason Eustace went. 
 

When colleagues you work with and you like are forced out of the company you work for, you will start looking at your options. That’s human nature. The fact he can get more money will be a factor, but listening and dealing with Pasha and Waggot will be another.
