He's a right winger or wing back.

Never played at CB or either full back position.

Plus he's out for 3 months.

This is why I'm doubting the credibility of the whole story.

Actually sounds about right for someone we'd actually pay money for...

This sort of thing used to happen in the early to mid 70's when Ken Furphy took Tony Field and Terry Garbutt with him to Sheffield United and Gordon Lee took Sir Roger Jones and Graham Oates with him to Newcastle.

But back then we genuinely didn't have a pot to piss in, and the players concerned were moving up to the top flight from a division (or two) below.

We didn't have billionaire owners and the players weren't being forced to make a sideways move to Clubs in the same division for more money.

Fuck off Venky's, PashaΒ

Unfortunately no one will take them off our hands. Not even Derby.

I read Jansen's autobiography.Β  He was with his girlfriend and they decided to go out on a scooter but jansen refused to wear a helmet he said he doesn't have any memory of the accident.Β  He also said he was penciled in by sven to go to the world cup. Souness broke the news to him after a game.Β  He had his suit ready and everything then tord grip convinced sven to take an extra defender

I think you need to read it more closely - he specifically mentions that it is only the fact that he was wearing a helmet that means he is still alive today.

This myth that he wasn't wearing a helmet keeps on surfacing on here despite the fact that there are numerous interviews and even a whole f-ing book where he states clearly that he absolutely never refused to wear a helmet - in fact, he says his girlfriend had lost hers whilst they were out and he offered her his, but she refused as he was the one driving.

"I said "do you want my helmet?" and took it off and handed it to Lucy. She said: "No, no. You are driving; you had better keep it on." Fortunately I did." -Β https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49581670

Im sure that the idiots will replicate bringing lots of inflatable snakes to the Derby game. But when a player actively wants to go to either of 2 teams who arent blessed with big money and both finished below us, it tells you a lot.

They seemingly seemed keen to make out as if Brittain was spitting his dummy out but he seems to have constantly trained and seemed very professional against Everton. Will be such a huge loss as I cant think of a better right back in the league. When we had him and Beck, our full backs were up there with anything in the division.

Seems likely Brittain is going to one or the other. We have a valuation on him seemingly and dont appear to be making any particular effort to persuade him to stay.

Was always on the cards when that other RB rocked up.

Not sure how anyone can blame Eustace.Β

The issue he will have, is making sure he only picks up the winners, and not the Rovers rubber dinghy boys.Β

Can you bet on Derby to finish exactly 7th anywhere? 😁

It's not necessarily blame, put it this way...Β

Β

You've got a fit missus who you love (Rovers) and an old best mate that fucks you off (Eustace) then starts tapping her up saying "I've got more money, more ambition" etc... What you gonna do? Say... "Oh well, can't blame him"

Β

Or are you going to call him every name under the sun?Β

Β

He can fuck off.Β

Shearer would be seeing his contract out and leaving for nothing after being lowballed 18 months previous.

Then he'd be branded as shite anyway, no pace, too many elbows.

Then chaddy would say I'd rather have Sam Gallagher anywayΒ

I think you're completely wrong on this.

100% of the blame attaches to Venky's and our management. 0% to Eustace and Derby or any other Club.

That's even before taking into account that Eustace tried to get assurances on these players contract situations in January of February.

If Eustace had got his way then, at the very least, even if he'd left, Clubs would be having to pay a small fortune to landΒ  these players now.

Β

Yeah, the fact that we are (seen as) a club without ambitions is only the fault of Venky's and their "advisors". Of all the people that have been involved in Rovers that need to fuck off, they should be first in line.Β

It’s 100% on pasha and RudyΒ

Eustace just taking advantage of the situationΒ

bit like if we signed a decent sheff w player we’re taking advantage of the shambolic running of their clubΒ

Val has acknowledged as much about the previous mistakes (no contracts signed) only saving grace (very little tbf) is they aren’t just accepting any low ball payment seems they have a value and are willing to stick to itΒ

And in this scenario the mate has actually done everything he possibly canΒ  to try and dissuade your wife from leaving you but she's said "No, I dont love him anymore, Im leaving him whether we end up together or not".

I don't blame him, as such but it's just massively infuriatingΒ

Makes sense to have a specialist S&C coach considering the way Val plays.Β

Hopefully Nacho’s a recipe for success.

You are absolutely right.

Our owners set the agenda and parameters.

I think what Pasha knows and understands about football could be written on a pin head.

As far Gestede, IMO, he is seriously fathoms out of his depth.

When you have two individuals like Pasha and Gestede, who almost certainly doff their caps to the Raos, running football operations, I think it's inevitable there will be an accelerated and unremitting degradation of our once proud and respected club.

For all the Rovers fans (especially those who have been around pre the Walker days) with a degree of wherewithal who don't swallow the copious amounts of bullsh1t, IMO, that emanates from Ewood/Brockhall, it must be extremely sad and painful.
