A centre back A striker A Tronstad replacement to take over when he leaves in the summer. I came to this thread knowing you’d fall hook, line and sinker for this. Can’t you see what they’re doing to you? They’re manipulating your intelligence through emotion. Rovers lose, the 150th anniversary is a net-failure, so what do they do? Leak a story to a journalist that will play ball that the fans want to hear to get you excited again. It is SO frustrating that fans like yourself fall for this every single time. I can hear you posting it now: “We just need to get to January, three new signings are coming”. I can’t work out what is worse, the way they treat you or the fact you continually fall for it. 11 Quote
Hasta Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Well as the Travis replacement couldn’t get any time yesterday despite Trav, Tronstadt and TGH not being on the pitch, I hope they do a better job finding a midfielder than they did in the summer. 2 Quote

Definitely the clampits that fall for it. It's not even like they're employing smart tactics. It's so bottom of the barrel low effort shit (like everything else they do) and it's so transparent. Pathetic that people fall for this shit. Honestly like dealing with an infant, and not a very smart one. Quote

Let me guess, the CB will be O'Riordan, Gueye will be sold to make room for the striker and if Tronstad is leaving that isn't really bolstering the squad either. This squad is massively lacking in both numbers and quality, and the recruitment in in the hands of the people who absolutely blew the summer transfer window. Despite a couple of wins against out of form teams I think we're going into December with the dregs of an already poor squad and to survive we need significant investment in January. There are good arguments to say you could reasonably need 3 signings at CB alone if Wharton and Carter are going to continue to spend their careers with the medics. Quote

The signings they make are cheap crap so there's no point in getting excited. 3 Quote
Kjell Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Imagine if we signed Carlton Morris instead of Tavares, Gueye, AND Kargbo. I'd be tempted to throw in some others as well. But he does not fit the club's profile. He is a 29-year-old dinosaur, while we prefer young, cheap, crap, low-wages, no-career players. Aligned sustainable stupidity. Quote

Only one agents fee though , that may have a bearing on things . Quote

The model attracts "crap" in both the player and manager section, obviously. We were inside the playoffs comfortably during a manager search and ended up with Ismael. They still couldn't attract anyone decent with barely any games to go which truly said it all, and didn't go after anyone good "in work" to give us the best chance, and a stronger platform for the following season if we missed out. No one thought to use it as an opportunity. We had ZERO chance of convincing Cooper, Edwards or O'Neil to join even in such a strong position, the club aren't serious and can't get anything major done. Yet some of the fans still support the regime. Far too many dim Rovers fans with their head in the sand, pretending Brentford, Brighton, Bournemouth and Burnley don't exist in the Premier league. 5,000 more fans turned up with ease yesterday. They'll be there weekly under new owners and up to it footballing executives. 1 Quote

I obivously agree with you, but I would like to add that we probably never tried to attract any of those. They would have liked to sign players with championship experience. Rudy wanted an aligned manager and Ismael of course joined, knowing (deep down) that few other clubs would take him on board. Quote

The first half was terrible and the second half wasn’t a lot better. 1 Quote

Who would have thought this would be needed when you've lost 2 senior CBs, 2 others have bad injury records AND you decide playing 3 CBs in a game is a likely option. I don't think they intended on playing with three at the back - look at the makeup of the squad: Ribeiro and Pickering have no place in that formation (neither will be cheap, relative to the rest of the squad) We only have three CFs for two positions (and he basically refuses to play Gueye) We only have one RWB in the squad We only have four senior CBs for three starting CB positions It's pretty clear he's stumbled upon this formation (or perhaps reverted to it as I know he's played it before) and we're trying to make do with the players we have. I actually think it suits most of our players, we just don't have the required depth to play it when injuries inevitably hit. If I was in charge of January recruitment I'd be looking at a RWB, a CB, a CM and a CF as an absolute minimum. I'd also be looking to shift Pickering and Ribeiro on. Quote

The quality of the game isn't really a problem (losing it though), it's the fact that there's just no direction and no connection to this club anymore. I go because it's a social event with my parents. I've no real love for what this club has turned into. Quote
