joey_big_nose Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I guess Morishita could go straight in against Norwich.ย In an ideal world we would want a few impact options from the bench. I guess this would give us Morishita and Gueye. Feels like we need a couple more. Another perm striker it is very good to hear we are chasing and I wonder if we will take a punt on a prem loan winger as well? Quote
Ricky Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Interesting that Morishitas best stats (and majority of games) have come from games where heโs been playing on the left. Iโd assumed he was bought in for the right but his stats arenโt great from that side.ย Quote

Couldnt say a bad word about Tomasson until he left then regularly laid into him. Now predictably the same with Eustace. Will also only judge on results but still prefers Ismael because specfically he likes what he says in the media. Quote

roversfan99 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Ismael has been very consistent in saying that we wanted one more, before sales, a right winger. Therefore I was always reasonably confident that we would get one. I am not sure if this new lad is specifically a right winger but he is an exciting addition to our attack and I am assuming that he is the winger/the 1 attacker before sales that we anticipated. We absolutely desperately need a striker but its never been mentioned by Ismael and it doesnt really align with any of the potential exits that now seemingly needs to happen. Its also hard to read into exactly what the policy is. Travis is leaving, was Baradji considered to be his replacement or was he a seperate case having initially failed a medical? Buckley was frozen out, will he be considered as someone who needs to be replacing? Will Pears? Leonard didnt even go away on tour, does he need replacing? Does the 1 in 1 out policy mean only direct replacements positionally? Could shifting a few mean that a striker is possible simply because the budget has been shifted about? I am not convinced by the likelihood of this transfer link. No way are we coming close to the fee suggested, and he seems to be strongly linked elsewhere, albeit at a much lower amount. But either way, it is of paramount importance that we bring in a striker. Its hard to predict exactly what will happen. Still lingering is the situation with Tronstad and Hyam. Considering the shrinkage of the wage budget and their subsequent increased importance, there is no excuse to not give them improved deals but it seems like its not being considered. Quote

His lack of effort and absolutely gash finishing at Bram Lane last season put me off him Waste if a shirt and a wage.ย Just did not care at all. Quote

Perhaps like the poster from Legis said it would be good for him to have a couple if weeks rest and get adjusted to new surroundings and Ismael's master plan.ย Then get stuck in all fresh like. Quote

Scored ysday in a 4 nil win, only to decide to move to Poland? A bit random? Bear also in mind that he is Senegalese, so no language barrier in France etc. I saw something earlier that suggested he is keen to try his hand in England. ย Quote

Those are only really David Goodwillie numbers when he signed for us at 22, having scored 17 in 38 the season before. Minutely worse actually. Is he really all that? Quote

ageoftherover Posted 9 minutes ago Posted 9 minutes ago Chaddys consistent inconsistency aside, I do agree its too early to say whether VI will be a downgrade on Eustace. Eustace maybe has a few more runs on the board, but its not like VI has been a perennial failure and there's something to be said for having a manager who can function in a strange, chaotic environment. Eustace clearly couldn't and while you can argue our managers shouldn't have to, at this point its as useful as yelling at a wall. If VI is able to better manage the cretins higher up then well probably see benefits flow through to the pitch. Quote
