jim mk2 Posted April 23 Posted April 23 We went to the game at Vicarage Road which Rovers were unlucky to lose to a soft penalty (handball against Hedges IIRC) so it will be interesting to see how we go. Watford were unimpressive in that game and with confidence recovering after 3 successive wins we ought to win hopefully to keep us in outside playoff contention to the final game. Let’s be optimistic Rovers 2 Watford 0 1 Quote
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted April 23 Posted April 23 I’m coming over with my grandson. Let’s hope it’s better than last season when Wharton scored a belter only for Wahlstadt to throw two in at the end. 4 Quote
sharpysharps86 Posted April 23 Posted April 23 Watford have been extremely patchy as of late and likely 'on the beach' at this point. Not a good away record overall either so they should be there for the taking really with Rovers now in good form and looking much steadier again. My prediction is Rovers sign off at Ewood with a 2-1 win. Ohashi and Dolan with the goals. Predicted line-up: Toth Brittain Batth Hyam Ribeiro Travis Tronstad Dolan Cantwell Hedges Ohashi 1 Quote
Forever Blue Posted April 23 Posted April 23 (edited) Watford on the beach. Sheff Utd to rest players the week after in preparation for the playoffs. It’s fucking happening! Edited April 23 by Forever Blue 2 Quote
Michael123458 Posted April 23 Posted April 23 Watford well off it expect rovers to coast this rovers 3 0 Watford. I see cov are at Luton int dinner time time game keep half an eye on that RTID Quote
aletheia Posted April 23 Posted April 23 Expect a Rovers win followed by a play off place. Cue the stooges sweating late at night in dark corners. 1 Quote
Blue Greyhound Posted April 23 Posted April 23 Still can't beleive how massive a chance this is, regardless of the low 4% chance of reaching the playoffs. We should be nowhere near, nowhere, not a spec of a chance. 1 Quote

norwichblue Posted April 23 Posted April 23 Why do Rovers have to toy with our emotions like this. It’s like an abusive relationship. 7 Quote
Old Codger Posted April 23 Posted April 23 6 hours ago, ... said: @Old Codger poetic predictions plz 🙏 😃 Ah, I'm a poet, albeit I didn't know it ! ahem... Hornets are more hairnets this season, suffering from holes all over and a distinct lack of ability to contain what they are asked to cover. Having said that, the old adage 'any team in this division is capable of beating any team in this division' comes to mind, and our new found razzle and resolve may well be sorely tested here. I have a sneaky feeling that Elton will pop along for this one, having failed to show the last time he was booked to come, and as a result, the horrible hornets will wreak havoc with the recalcitrant rovers, who somehow may fail to show up 'when it matters'. Valerien Ismael is already casting smug glances towards the previously hostile Blackburn end, and as for Suhail Pasha, my guess is that he will be thinking he won't be needing his dark glasses, earplugs or crash helmet for this one, as his soldiers have done enough to assuage any (ma)lingering doubts held by the keenest and most loyal to management fans the world has ever seen.. Feck it. I'm going to go with my gut, which says that: Rovers regress 0 Watford waltz without waking Wally 2 Possibly Toth has a worldie and it turns out Wovers Nil Rotford Null points Or more unlikely, Rovers last of the season Huzzah 4 Watford wail back to the world's dullest town centre 0 My money is sadly on a reverse, so as to make the short trek to Bramall Lane a lesson in abject futility for the long suffering, loyal, vocal and largely insatiable for Rovers hordes (gawd bless each and every one of them). Our away support this season has been nothing short of Magnificent! Fair play to everyone who has lent their time to following our frustratingly unpredictable team through a season of ups, downs and a fair bit of whoopsadaisy. COYB! VENKY'S AND ASSOCIATED TRASH - OUT!! GET OUT YOU SCUNNERS! 7 Quote

Ossydave Posted April 24 Posted April 24 Post Christmas Watford have been horse shit, no 2 ways about it. Played 21, W 5, D 4, L 12 Even we've won more than that now despite our obvious 'issues'. Despite that they actually gave the twats up the road a challenge the other week, should have gone 2 up really and it would probably have been a different game. Alas they went down to 9 men, but even then had a few decent chances to score. Monday was literally the most perfect day results wise, I don't want to be a negative gimp but it's highly unlikely we'll get another of those. Head says we lose this one 1 nil and the season officially dies a death. BUT Coventry are an early kick off, there would be a massive wave of excitement if they lose, knowing a win takes us within 1 point of them. Of course with that comes pressure though again and we don't seem to like that....you just never know in this game do ya 🥲 Quote
onlyonejackwalker Posted April 24 Posted April 24 Unfortunately it's completely out of our hands so I'm not overly excited. We've shown a lot of courage and determination at times this season. And badly collapsed at others. It's anyone's guess. 1 Quote
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted April 24 Posted April 24 Watford with nothing to play for so its... 2-0 Rovers 13,700 Too little too late. 1 Quote
MarkBRFC Posted April 24 Posted April 24 (edited) All depends on Coventrys result at lunchtime for me. If Coventry win, I think we might scrape a 1-0. If Coventry lose and there is more of a sniff to get in that top 6, we'll lose 2-1. This club doesn't win when it counts. Edited April 24 by MarkBRFC 6 Quote

I can picture it already, on here at 14:30 after Luton beat Coventry, we're all excited that a win would take us to 1 point off 6th with 1 game to play, then we go 2-0 down after 8 minutes. 4 Quote

Whether they will or not we'll find out on Saturday. 1 Quote
WacoRover Posted April 24 Posted April 24 (edited) Honestly, since I gave up on the playoffs sometime ago, I’m just looking forward to a Rovers win, 2-1. Also on the club website, Ismail is building up Dolan, singing his praises. Hopefully that means we still have a chance to re-sign him. Edited April 24 by WacoRover 2 Quote

But neither are good enough for the Rovers. Both squad players at best. Edited April 24 by rigger Quote
