Alan Biggs is a well respected, Sheffield based journalist who has had the inside track at Wednesday for ages. It looks like today could be huge for them in terms of their immediate future.

rumours are the coaching staff are out of contract today, Rohl wants out and rumours about possible move to Leicester 

It is a huge mess there. A number of players will walk out today. 

Feel most sorry for the non footballers employees who haven't have been paid yet who have bills to pay

I'm a little unsure how to feel about the Sheffield Wednesday mess. Of course at its most basic there should be sympathy for their employees/suppliers and genuine supporters who must be deeply concerned about the state they are in, and you hope their situations are resolved.

It seems some want to use it as a 'be careful what you wish for' tool as to why things are actually ok at Rovers under Venkys because, look, it could easily be worse. 

Personally however there's an element of jealously. That might sound crazy / ridiculous but at least with them there's an end to their misery in sight. Light at the end of the tunnel. Their situation cannot continue, it is only a matter of time before they either change ownership or the authorities intervene like they did with Reading. 

It might not be quick, easy or smooth but ultimately they'll break the grip of Chansiri whereas we will just continue to rot under Venkys for years more. They'll have a new future to look forward to. What have we got to look forward to under this regime?

What an absolute mess. Gotta feel for those that are involved and of course, the long suffering fans as well. 

Feels like this could easily be us, Venky's just turn off the taps and let the club to implode.

Once again though, you've gotta be asking serious questions of the Footballing authorities, another club that has been a disaster for long enough and now it's finally reached the tipping point, how have they allowed it to get to this state?

Won’t be us and that’s the problem. Terrible ownership often ends just like we are seeing at Sheff Wed (see also Reading in recent times), but the apt word is ‘ends’.

Here, I only forsee us limping on, zombie style, but with ‘the lights on’ for ever and a day.

Why would the football authorities have a problem how Venkys run the club? Every monthly wage paid, paying the tax man on time and other bills, etc. Selling players and reinvesting that money in small bits in transfer funds..

We want the club running much better, ownership engaged with fans and local community, better CEO running it, etc. 

Look how John Textor have runs clubs and the mess he has created at every club he has done yet some people think he should buy Rovers. It would be much worser under him. Look at Lyon situation

I don't know whether it is deliberate or just the way you write but I get the impression from this that you are happy with how things are at Rovers and don't think there is anything wrong with how we operate?

John Textor the bloke whose club has just won the FA Cup and qualified for Europe?

I have posted more than enough about I want us to be run in the past. Maybe have a look at them before reply with that.

He sold the club last week. Suggest you look how to run his other clubs into the ground. Look at the other thread where a poster posted about how he run Lyon into the ground. Now relegation into Ligue 2 cos of miss management

We want new owners. All of those things that you mention only have a chance of happening with new owners.

agreed. Just can't see them selling at this point. One poster has mention numerous tipping points for the ownership during the years and yet they haven't. I am surprised they haven't yet but for some unknown reasons they won't.

I don't really know what they can do tbh but there must be something that can be done, or put in place that protects clubs better, surely?

I assume the authorities have no problems with the way Venky's run the club because of the reasons you have listed, and yet the fans of Blackburn Rovers football club would be cheering louder than ever if they finally did the right thing and sold the club. However, I didn't even mention Rovers or Venky's, so i'm not sure why you brought it up.
