We definitely haven't lost our opening 4 league fixtures in a season.

Including cup, i think that is the case too.

Oli McBurnie bagged them a last minute winner today. Maybe we should have made inquiries about him.

They've now already picked up 4 points which isn't bad considering many expect them to struggle with this embargo, etc.

We really need a win and keep doing it . It's crazy we have lost three in a row right at the start of the season.

Good idea can't believe no one ever thought of doing that!

Well I don't expect to see any new arrivals in time for this one, so pending injuries I reckon it'll be the same starting XI as Birmingham game, which is probably as good a team as can be managed right now.

Hull 1 - 1 Rovers (Ohashi)

Going to get pumped by a team who can't sign players and still managed to have a better transfer window than us

you can`t describe the situation better than that🤣 that quote should be handed round to the idiots who are still defending the regime

True and absolutely embarrassing. Sometimes you're better to have decent wages available... vs bargain basement fees for relegated talent in poor European leagues... paying peanuts. That's not a strategy aimed for success, nor was it Brentford's model.

Alfie Devine has already bagged for Preston on loan. McBurnie hitting the ground running.......

Meanwhile I'm still waiting to see if Henriksson and De Neve can control a football.

We scraped the barrel last summer for Ohashi and Gueye and they just don't quite look good enough if we're being honest.... do they?

The result of this sign as cheap as possible exercise will be a full team that's simply not up to it all over.

I think Gestede is about to complete that puzzle.

Agreed. The fact we have spent a bit on fees this summer is rather deceiving (even though I'm sure outgoings will still end up seeing us turn a profit).

The deception is the guise of investment though. We've slashed our wage budget again massively. Surely De Neve can't be on more than 5k per week. Henrikson and Alebiousi the same. We're recouping the fees and more with the slashing of wages, let alone the incoming transfer fees.

I have almost no expectations this year, so I will take whatever comes. I was thrilled we got a goal vs birm, so I can enjoy the small successes. I will be thrilled when we get a point, and when/if we win (got to keep our humor!)

Even if we’re relegated, I’m Blackburn Rovers blue & white. Venkys, bad coaching, or crummy players on the pitch, won’t change that.

Watched chunks of their Oxford game.

Hull started fast, Gelhart knows how to attack the near post effectively and McBurnie still knows how to be in the right place at the right time.

Other than that these are a lot less good than WBA and Birmingham.

We competed well with those and conceded goals VAR would have taken minutes reviewing.

Going to Mkm (don't go to MK Dons by mistake) I am not as pessimistic as others, lose and I will be.

You'd want to make a couple of changes heading into this, I think.

But who?

Pickering? Maybe but doesn't offer much difference to Ribeiro.

Miller? Not over Alebiosu going on last game.

Foreshaw, Buckley? Absolutely not.

Montgomery? I'd rather play Foreshaw.

Axel? Nope, not yet.

Gueye? Not if we fancy scoring.

No real injuries of note and we're already scraping the barrel. When we've got 2 games a week and a few injuries the dearth of talent available is going to be really apparent.

Can't see past a Hull (transfer embargo, remember) win.
