Herbie6590 Posted Sunday at 12:37 Posted Sunday at 12:37 The Canaries come to Ewood with the Rovers fans hoping to see the first win at home this season…a Cantwell-inspired Rovers? 🤔 Here’s the recent results between the two sides. Quote

... Posted Sunday at 13:21 Posted Sunday at 13:21 (edited) Norwich come into this game on the back of a loss, with Wright red carded in that game. They'll want to bounce back and we'll want to bag win number 2. 2-1 Rovers on this one with a rousing home crowd Edited Sunday at 13:27 by ... Quote
simongarnerisgod Posted Sunday at 13:31 Posted Sunday at 13:31 norwich have one of the best squads in the division but i think we`ll have em,2-1 rovers, kargbo with a brace😁 Quote
RevidgeBlue Posted Sunday at 13:47 Posted Sunday at 13:47 Not quite the proverbial "must win" game but even at this very early stage, this game could have a huge bearing in shaping the early part of the season. Win and we've somehow turned what was looking like a catastrophe into a fairly useful start. Draw and it's a bit "meh". Lose and it's still a bad start despite the great performance yesterday. So far under Ismael we've been unable to get a result when it really matters. Over to you lads......... 2 Quote
Tomphil2 Posted Sunday at 14:29 Posted Sunday at 14:29 We need a win it's as simple as that getting as many home wins as possible will see us safe by May. Is this another Cat A because Norwich might bring more than one thousand ? Quote
chaddyrovers Posted Sunday at 14:32 Posted Sunday at 14:32 Norwich play 3-4-2-1 formation so it will be interesting how we set up tactically without the ball Team selection has to be the same after yesterday excellent win away at Hull 2 Quote
sharpysharps86 Posted Sunday at 14:43 Posted Sunday at 14:43 No need to change the starting XI after yesterday, but hopefully we see a couple of new faces on the bench to be able to freshen things up. Rovers 1 - 1 Norwich. Cantwell to score for the third game on the spin, against his old club. 1 Quote
CambridgeRover Posted Sunday at 15:12 Posted Sunday at 15:12 Journeying up for this game. Looking forward to being back at Ewood 8 Quote
Andy Posted Sunday at 18:48 Posted Sunday at 18:48 If we get a similar performance to Hull, we'll beat them quite comfortably. But, as ever with Rovers, we're never quite sure what we're going to get. Quote
WacoRover Posted Sunday at 18:58 Posted Sunday at 18:58 Resounding win at Hull. But, just three points from three games. I have to believe Rovers get points from this one. Our 7 transfers are starting to gel, VI appears a capable man on the touchline. 2-1, Rovers get a winner from… Henriksson!! 3 Quote
Hasta Posted Sunday at 19:06 Posted Sunday at 19:06 As good as the Hull performance was, I thought they were poor and showed us a lack of respect. They went out for a goal from the off and left a lot of space for us to exploit. None of the other 3 teams we played did that, and I suspect Norwich will constrict that space in midfield a lot more. Im far more confident than I was last week so either 2-1 or 1-1. Quote

Nah Sarge is still there and still scoring. He’s probably the best striker in the league in my opinion. They lost Sainz though, although he seemed to have fallen from both grace and form in the latter half of the season. They’ve heavily reinvested a lot of the cash from him and Rowe etc (unlike us). Unproven new signings of yet though. Not sure how this one’s going to play out. Hopefully I’ll get the bragging rights over my canary mates down here. 8 Quote
because of boxing day Posted Sunday at 22:20 Posted Sunday at 22:20 The style and slick passing of Norwich last season in the corresponding match was so impressive. It was so easy on the eye. 1-1 draw last year. A very late Weimann equaliser. Our midfielders must not be as easily bypassed by the quick interlinking that has been a Norwich hallmark of late or we may be chasing the game. Quote
philipl Posted yesterday at 09:33 Posted yesterday at 09:33 Sergeant arguably the best striker in the division as has been pointed out. The rest of Norwich not clicking . yet. Let's keep it that way. If they do play as they are capable of this will be as challenging as our first two games. So I expect us to be competitive but the result a three way evens bet between the three possible outcomes. RoversTilliDie Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago (edited) Norwich will be a tougher test than Hull. I would reward the team that won at Hull, by starting the same team. I'm not making any predictions, mine always go pear shaped. If we can get our first win at home of the season, we'll be gathering a bit of momentum. Edited 23 hours ago by RoversTilliDie Quote

As a Texan American, I enjoy seeing other Americans perform well, just not against Rovers. 😄 2 Quote
joey_big_nose Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago The Big win last Saturday settles the team. To be honest I am good with everyone in that starting XI except a bit concerned that our midfield is a little passive with Tavares in there. Hope he grows on me but seems to let the game go by him too much for my liking. Feels like he could be a good when we are on top, goes missing/becomes a liability when we are on the back foot type. Will watch him with interest. Quote
bboy Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago I do think our long run of an academy player in squad may end this season. Only hope is fact we have 9 subs these days. 2 Quote

Our total lack of structure and inability to press or screen played a massive role in them looking like this in that game. It was VI’s first game and the first 45 minutes was embarrassing, we basically let Duffy walk the ball through the middle of the pitch half the time Quote
RoversTilliDie Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago (edited) We've finally strengthened our attack, by signing Morishita. It could turn into a fruitful partnership, two Japanese strikers, Ohashi and Morishita. Baradji will miss the 1st game, but could be fit after the international break. philipl Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Terrifying that this game doesn't make the cut for the past encounters table: Even more terrifying that Chris Sutton was playing central defence for Norwich And that Rovers replaced Norwich at the top of the Premier League table at 5 o-clock that afternoon. 2 Quote
