miqaayil Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago may sound weird or overly optimistic ..win by 2 goals Quote
philipl Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago We pushed West Brom and Brum so.the least I.expect is for us to be competitive. Nice selection dilemmas for VI - Carter and Wharton surely deserve another start and Carter pace is an asset but hard on McLoughlin and Miller. Up front 5 into 4 doesn't go so one of Yuki, Royo, Cantwell, Hedges and Gudjonsson starts on the bench. If he gets on, Sammy has to fight for his place back so I suspect we will be adding to the Ipswich early season draw tally. Quote

davulsukur Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Szmodics, who would walk into our starting 11, was on the bench for them in their last game. Which shows you what we are up against. I think we'll get beat 0-1, but we'll push them all the way. Quote
joey_big_nose Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) I am going to this one... gone from considering us having no chance to quite hopeful after the last game. I think Ipswich will want to play on the front foot which will suit us as we would like to counter. I am pretty happy with all our players at the moment except Tavares who seems a liability at present in terms of the way he loses the ball and misses tackles in key areas. I anticipate teams in their preparation will start to really target him as he seems to want more time than he really has, and struggles to compete physically. He could grow out of it as he acclimatises to the Championship, but with Gudjonsson staking a claim creating a lot of competition up top I think it's a great opportunity to try Cantwell out deeper. Team for me : Toth Alebiousu Carter Wharton Riberio Cantwell Tronstad Ohashi Mori Hedges Gudjonsen Subs : Pears, Miller, McLoughlin, Pickering, Tavares, Kargbo, Gueye, Tyjon, TGH Edited 1 hour ago by joey_big_nose Quote
J*B Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Cantwell can’t tackle. There’s no place for him in holding midfield. 1 Quote
Andy Posted 51 minutes ago Posted 51 minutes ago Yeah, you're asking too much of Tronstad there, we'd be overrun. If Gudjohnsen becomes as good as we hope, I could see Ohashi playing on the left, as an inside forward. Or even behind the striker, with Cantwell wide. You then have Mori on the right, with Kargbo as an impact sub. From an attacking perspective, it's a definite upgrade on last season. Quote

Cantwell offers a lot more of a tackle than Tavares imo. I have been quite impressed with Cantwell this season in terms of getting stuck in... born out by the stats so far this season (average tackles per game). Quote
