As I said in the matchday thread quintessentially Venky's Rovers.

Academy Lad drafted in as an absolute last resort after failing with Hedges at LWB.

Academy lad absolutely excels - doesnt let us down once.

Promptly binned off because another Club wants one of their players to get some minutes.

Said loanee comes in, scores the most needless own goal of own time and basically looks like he's never seen a football pitch before. However we're obliged to play him otherwise we face penalty clauses.

Lad steps up from academy, no commission for an agent or their pals.

Guy signed on loan for a modest wage contribution and maybe a loan fee, agent gets commission.

There is no other sense in it other than that by bringing in that guy to play above Pratt.

Their is a budget and they are finding ways to spend it and get their %.

We all knew we were under the cosh with injuries and last minute player sales, we all knew we had to get bodies in very quickly once January starts, we are sitting with 2 dubious transfers on January 17th. Writing is on the wall, the gamble of gestede hasn’t worked out like we all knew and we are done for. I can’t even get angry anymore , it’s laughable how it’s all happened and been allowed to happen. Football is dead to me

It's widely reported  that Brighton are picking up most if not all his wages in return for guaranteed game time.

Were he not to get that game time it's reasonable to assume we'd have to pay more towards his wages.

Whether you term it as a "penalty clause" or a gentleman's agreement.

Or perhaps the money they got from bundling Hyam out on deadline day which the Venky happy clappers have forgotten all about.

The usual people who report on transfer rumours.

I guess the proof of the pudding will be in the eating won't it. If he continues to play like today but retains his place something would appear to be very much amiss.

If he were dropped for the next game and never saw another minute I wouldnt shed a tear, Id rather see Pratt in the side, especially when he's done so well up to now.

People preferred to kid themselves they've finally spent the Hyam money and were just waiting for the right 'investment' to come available.

Yeah well they're about to get another harsh reality check about how these lot operate, as if they didn't already really know.

Ismael was very keen to say that a striker is very much the priority and then we "will see" from there. Seemed quite flippant when directly asked about a left wing back, talking about not being able to replace every injured player. Its a massive issue in the squad, with all 3 available who have been considered there today, discounting Hedges who he admitted might not even be registered. Dion De Neve played!

De Neve & Hendrickson are not professional footballers , in any country!

Axel Henriksson and Dion De Neve, would not be at any other Championship club.

They're playing at the wrong level completely. It's ludicrous they're involved.
