Battling performance from the boys, lovely to see us finally stand up and be counted in a derby game. I don't usually comment on the ref, but he had a shocker and Preston should have seen at least one red tonight.

Impressed with Morishita, and it's always good to have your main striker finding the back of the net - doesn't matter if they are 30 yard screamers or close-range finishes, they all count and will only increase AG's confidence.

Great start to the weekend.

A decent night - in pocket and Rovers' win!

PNE are shite - frightening to think they would have gone second with a win.  Just how poor and open is this league!?

Reality is we are a bottom eight side.

Some decent performances but a few concerns with a number of ours either not good enough for the Championship or physically not suited to it.

As for Baradji - looked like he'd come on for a little knock about with his mates.  So laid back.  Big question mark there.

Mercer's taking everyone out for a drink!

Hope Baradji learns a lot from that cameo, nearly cost us giving ball away in stoppage time. I thought he was a drive with the ball type.

I still would like to see Gueye get given longer each game when players tiring, still on the fence. Morishita was finding space to receive ball brilliantly.

Pratt looked confident played well

I thought hand on Gueye in the box would be given on VAR

great result and performance. Our run in next 5-6 games is very kind on us. Not that it means anything

I am probably his biggest critic but I will always assess fairly, so I will give credit to hedges who was motm between him and tronstadt.

Ohashi was busy

Morishita if he could get any kind of strength would be a premier quality player , he grew into the game as others have said

thought all the back line - minus pears- were solid enough. Pratt looked a bit nervy but came up with some important blocks

i thought gudjohnsson was good tonight, held ball up, some nice lay offs into space and good knack of getting in the right places to score winning goals

didn’t think Montgomery was much worse than tgh , didn’t notice him missing anyway

my only criticism is pears and gueye who we all know aren’t good enough, get rid

Great team performance, battled all the way 💪

Baradji gives me Tavares vibes on first impressions.

Baradji looked like he was still injured to me. Bit of an odd cameo, gave the ball away, didn’t look mobile at all but seems like he’s technical and physical. Feel like I know less about how he’ll be for us than I did before!

Great evening, hedges as good as when he played wing back under mowbray. Ohashi looking very sharp and an outstanding debut for Pratt.

how whiteman stayed on the pitch I’ll never know

We thrive on being the away team with the onus on our opponents to make the play…🤔

Can we not pretend we're away in future eg have a long journey around the North in that super coach and then arrive at Ewood? Must be more ideas?

Don't know what it was, I thought Baradji looked quite promising.

Might be partially because Preston were tiring and pushing forward looking for the equaliser.

Did someone say we had a new set piece coach? 🥰

Danny Ventre earning his wage in that evidence, 2 beautiful set piece goals.

Just seen the replay of that - my word, it was assault…👀

Can we play all our games away from home? Great win, unexpected. The league seems very open, not many outstanding teams; still think we’ll end up in the bottom half and the long season will take its toll on a thin squad

I thought he was excellent tonight & is probably having his best season at Rovers so far…🤷‍♂️

I think we absolutely need his experience. He’s having a solid season and he seems to have found a good run of staying injury free. I’m certainly glad we still have him.

Watched the game tonight in Sweden.

Going back 6 or 7 pages on this thread all I read is Pears is shit and Gueye is shit.... Then fast forward to full time.... Elation. Pears is suspect for sure and Gueye gets pelters for e few minutes on the pitch. About time some bms grew up.

Tonight's starting 11 all deserve mom, especially for that second half performance and a mention for Val who used his subs well.

Well done to all.

Sherwood fuming about the Whiteman tackle, it’s ridiculous that he can’t be punished for it now

Is there not some sort of a fair play panel that can get involved or is that only where the referee has missed the incident?

No doubt Whiteman should have been off. Poor decision by ref only giving a yellow then we go down to ten due to physio coming on. Crazy rule. They should look at that again.

They need a retrospective ban system when ref makes a mistake. They have it for extreme issues like racism/biting but not for dangerous tackles which seems an oversight.

He showed some great touches and some terrible ones but I actually thought him coming on stopped Preston's momentum and pushed them back on their heels considerably.

He should have scored that header to calm our nerves.
