Was never expecting a good crowd but on the back of Friday i was expecting a few more of the loyal hardcore to be in there and a bit more of a positive atmosphere.

A bit more of a normal feel to it is the best way to describe it but looking around and the vibe you'd have thought we'd just been hammered off Burnley again.

That doesn't help the players and if you with all your Rovers experience can't see that then i'm surprised.

As iv'e pointed out repeatedly my main concern is it gives those implementing the managed decline more ammunition and gives the coach ready made excuses.

For the record non of that washes with me it doesn't matter if no one is there the players are paid to put a shift in and the Head Coach is paid for selection, tactics and use of subs.

All poor yet again last night and naff all to do with the crowd or lack of it but if we as fans want intensity on the pitch we have to do our bit as well and howl them into it.

That isn't happening either.

We got a good response to the Derby game and we lost.

They’ve already got this season’s season ticket money - a boycott of next season’s season tickets would definitely make waves. That is the only metric that seems to resonate with Suhail.

I don't think any organisation will be necessary, many people just won't buy one based on this season and the state of the Club generally,

A terrible first half as a result of totally losing our midfield battle. Miller and McLaughlin content to pass sideways endlessly, it was unbelievably frustrating to watch. Second half we started playing more forward balls and getting the wingbacks more into play which got us forward more and created chances.
it was a tight game and it was obvious that the first team to score would go on to win it. Unfortunately Gudjohnsen had two really good chances where he should have scored but didn’t. If he had I’m sure it would have given us the confidence boost and we would have gone on to win it.
It’s all about fine margins and a poor bit of play by De Neve gave QPR a lead to hold on to. I’m worried about the next few games without Tronstad because we haven’t got the power in midfield to cause the opposition problems.

I certainly don't want or need your pity. I'd rather go and watch us lose than throw the towel in.

And I would rather save my money, than fund the running by the incumbents.

I called penalty at the time on Gudjonson's first half chance that hit the post. I've seen the replay since and it's definitely a push from behind, otherwise it was a tap in. For me, should have been a penalty and red card.

Midweek games in a cold winter night will always been poorly attended. With people having means to watch at games at home that will be the option for some.

Prices could be cheaper but given the above circumstances not sure that would have much affect.

Match day prices do need to be cheaper granted.

How could we improve the atmosphere on match days anyway? Any ideas guys?

Probably focus on marketing tickets rather than hospitality packages

Granted, as at most clubs, midweek games are generally less well attended than those held 3pm Saturday.

The reasons why they are poorly attended now are obvious, but in no way should anyone be accepting that it should 'always' be the case.

Imagine someone suggesting that in front of Jack, or indeed any club exec with even a modicum of aspiration.

I accept that 100% but without making 10/15 pounds for midweek games(which I would be in favour), I'm not sure how we can attract more fans which they have access at home to watch and can stay warm at home in these winter months

It certainly helps. Being entertained is another one.

and to consistently win games IS entertaining.

At most clubs who had finished 7th the season before, this dire home form combined with our league position would see the manager and board under severe pressure.

Not here though. Just another day. A long, dark nightmare of a day that began on 19/11/2010.

It’s his job for as long as he wants it. Out of all of the managers under this lot he smells the most like being the one to really ride that Venky’s gravy train.

As for Suhail and Rudy, what’s not to like with Val? He’s content when you sell your best players and bring in random foreigners as cheap replacements. And most importantly, he never digs you out or name drops in the media even when you’re on a terrible run and getting a small grilling yourself.

By getting on the front foot from the first whistle and winning a few games.

Until that happens the atmosphere is bound to be shite irrespective of how many are in the ground or what gimmickry you can come up with pre match.

You can put lipstick on a pig but............

As the old saying goes.

How to sell more tickets? I'd do a special raffle. If you're light turns Purple when you go through the turnstile you win and get to replace De Neve and Tavares on the bench.

I think Miller had jet lag. De Neve's suicide pass back to Pratt caused the latter to receive an injury. I thought Gudjohnsen's two efforts were unlucky. How he didn't score the first is beyond me. His second was a good shot but well saved by their keeper. The two Japanese lads were bundled off the ball all the time. Refs don't seem to penalise pushes in the back any more.

I honestly think we'll lose to Sheffield Wednesday when they come here.

Another poster mentioned it above, but from side on in the JW upper you could see Gudjohnsen got a massive shove in the back just as he went to hit the first one. It's not really noticeable on the highlights.

Finally got an attendance of 11,122

So accounting for the included ST holders - thousands who didn't show - and QPR travellers that's less than 2k home fans buying match tickets.

The red flags must be waving loud and clear now hence the '10 quid offer'.

Never mind they'll be making the shortfall up off the Sheff Weds and Wrexham games...
