There are some games that are just a waste of everybody's time, last night was one of them. Everything was just so half arsed, the passing was diabolical, I've never seen such slow passing which meant everything started from a standing start.

We needed Cantwell to carry us, he was very underwhelming. Baradji ran out of steam alarmingly after about 35 minutes which shows he started out of desperation for numbers.

Ohashi and Hendrickson are a partnership that offer nothing together. Ohashi has a role as support for another striker and has proved competent at doing that, the other striker is definitely not Hendrickson.

Litherland was willing, and full of effort and most certainly doesn’t look out of place. Fair play to the lad.

We need to sign multiple players ready to go on Thursday, it isnt going to happen though is it!?

If Ohashi was injured rather than Gudjohnsen, I would fancy Henriksson to do an adequate (if not spectacular) job if filling in as the pressing workmanlike striker, but together they offer very little goal threat

No, best we will get is a couple of players no team wants , on the last day of the window. Cantwell, Tronstadt and Toth could all be sold, this window.

Toth could well be sold in January.

I originally joked that Toth might be sold in January when Pears came in and performed well but now I’m actually starting to think it could happen. I wouldn’t be shocked if the club decided to cash in, with the usual spin about needing funds, the January market being inflated, Pears earning his place, and Toth needing regular minutes ahead of the World Cup (the last bit I added for a joke but could easily see it happening haha).

Edit:

Or the alternative is they sell Nick Michalski - another up and coming talent for next to nothing.

The team is knackered!

We have two academy players doing amazingly well but are also playing three games in a week when they have never played senior football at this level.

Even the likes of Cantwell and Tronstad are clearly not match fit and the sooner Jan 1st arrives and we can get two proper strikers in the better.

Maybe I am softening up, probably because my expectations are at rock bottom after 15 years of this ownership, but the only thing missing last night was a finisher.

We controlled most of the game, and there wasn't that much wrong until we got to the final third, lack of urgency and quality in attack cost us 2 points.

Cantwell though, for a player so talented I have never seen anyone as bad at striking a ball towards goal. Woeful.

I thought we were ponderous across the middle of the pitch, the ball moved so slowly after 15 mins in both halves. Everything was side to side with no pace allowing Wednesday to retain their shape with ease. Very little bravery in trying to play through the middle of the pitch and I know I bang in about it but someone needs to grab hold of Cantwell and ban him from receiving the ball in our half. When you’re effectively playing with a back 5 and a CDM we don’t need another player in there. We’re crying out for him further up the pitch.

One of the worst games of football I’ve ever seen at this level. The players looked like they’d been sent out without any plan or direction.

Cantwell the worst culprit, seemingly not able to pass the ball properly or shoot on target despite earning £10k+ a week or whatever this joke of a club are paying these days. And continually dropping deep behind the midfield to get the ball when he’s supposedly playing number 10.

The schedule is ridiculous over Christmas, 4 games in 8 days with very little rest in between, especially as our first 2 have been away from home. However the standard last night is a sad indictment of what this club has become.

Cantwell sums this up - a tired washed up footballer nowhere near the level of his best years in the Premier League. No passion, no direction, no quality, no plan. He simply does not reflect the values our club & fans. He should never have been made captain in my opinion.

Venky’s Out!

I know Gueye isnt very good but he must be better than playing Henriksen up front. Gueye scored the winner at Hillsborough last year in a one nil win. Cant help but think that even though he isn't up to standard he is still an option in a thin squad and would've given us another option to break them down.

In terms of the others, I think Litherland doesn't have enough thrust to be a right wing back but looks very comfortable on the ball, Pratt needs a loan and to improve his short passing. Baradji faded quickly but needs to be persisted with. Tronstad is our best player by a mile in my opinion.

I like Lewis Miller I just don't rate him very highly.

This always happens when a player isn't selected for a few games on here.

Believe me, Henriksson offers much more up top than Gueye, and thats saying something.

Get an early goal and we stroll to a win. We didn’t so we didn’t. Millwall we did get that early one and it was a comfortable afternoon.

So little attacking threat we need to score when on top early doors.

If Gudjohnsen has played we win that game. He is our fox in the box.

We created enough first half to win that game. We didnt score when on top or upped our second half when the game was they for the taken

Gueye hasn't been training well enough well others has. Gueye is to blame but his performances this season has been so poor. He knew he was the back up to Ohashi and Gudjohnsen this season, since then we seen nothing all season. Expecting he will go shortly after we bring a striker in.

Cant agree on your Litherland and Pratt comments either.

Another 3 points in the Should Have League. Things are looking pretty rosy in Neverland.

Sheffield Wednesday while a bad side, aren't the pushovers they were back in August/September either.

Scored twice and were unlucky not to beat Hull the other day who are flying.

Two shattered sides who have to play two more games before the end of the week due to the ridiculous schedule.

Inexpect very similar performances against Wrexham and Charlton.

Gueye, may well have downed tools but he scored more goals and had more assists, last season  than Henriksson will have in his Rovers career.

Neither won't be long cos they 'ain't good enough ' even if we are  relegated !

Both have the same amount this season though.

Poor players.

My tip is that Ribeiro, Gueye and Pears gets sold in the window.

Sold ?

I'd say one will be loaned, one paid off and released the last one i think it's vital we keep him.
