Such a poor team out there, struggling to come back from 2-0 down at home to Charlton. Absolutely criminal what the owners have done to us. I had written a more critical post but honestly it isn't fair to be having a go at who we have out there. They're very limited but they're trying. The players and even the manager aren't the problem. The problem is the 15 year constant, a dark cloud that's been hanging over the club for far too long.

The manager is fully complicit imo.

Fully "aligned" with the destruction of the squad, absolutely useless and thoroughly dislikeable to boot.

Pulled out and no contact at all, watched the replay twice show it twice.

I watched it too. Definitely contact. Pulled out of giving it full force but he caught him and it was a bit high. Easily a penalty. So was the one we didn't get.

Edit - seen the best replay of it now, retract my comment, Picks definitely avoided catching him. Dive.

Remind me, we don't actually own Baradji do we? Or is it an obligation to buy next year or something. He's one of the few looking decent at the moment, it would be fairly typical of us to have paid to nurse him back to health and not end up with him as our player...

Celtic may be overdoing it, things can't be that bad there, but you don't think we should be giving our board and ownership a torrent of shit?

Us? Yes.

Celtic? No.

He's on loan, can't remember if it was an option or obligation to buy.

The 24-year-old, who impressed in the Swiss top flight last season, joins on loan until the end of the 2025-26 campaign, with an option for the move to be made permanent.

Gestede thinks this a competitive squad!!

The other thing that really sticks out is that we're clearly one of the worst teams in a year where pretty much the entire league are evenly matched and in with a shout of promotion.

If we'd built on last year's squad we could have made it over the line last year or this year but no, Gestede knows better.

Complicit, yes, but he's also totally irrelevent. If it wasn't him it'd just be some other chump.

Option to buy. You'd have to hope the player terms are already agreed and binding or it just won't happen.

I saw Celtic fans yesterday in their hundreds stood outside the board entrance kicking off. Shame we don’t do the same.

We did 14 years ago. It made no difference as the owners aren't in the building.

VI goes and some other fuck stick comes in, it's utterly irrelevant until the wretches sell

Watch this from the third angle.....dived!

Last angle is more revealing, you are probably right actually. Could do with a clearer image and slow mo to be 100% though. The player reacts like he felt something, when he probably didn't see enough to feel confident in the dive. But yeh looks like he pulls short of making contact to me. Charlton player likely just gambled because he saw a body coming in a little recklessly.

Edit - clearer image confirms, definitely didn't touch him. A well chosen dive tbf, but I do hate cheating bastards.

Hard to think Baradji will want to join if he receives any sort of offer from elsewhere.

Agree, but isn't that the story for most Championship teams though? Only a few can *afford* to keep the squad together so for most it's groundhog day? Given PSR, the general finances and players agitating for a move to the PL we have to work with a high turnover squad.

Entitled shits.

It’s usually wise to stay quiet on matters where you don’t have the full facts to hand. The Celtic board have overseen a systematic downgrade in all positions over the last 18 months, at the same time as making record profits on players sales, shirt sales, etc. Dermot Desmond is allowed to act as the owner when he is merely a preferential shareholder. It’s nothing to do with entitlement it is to do with a fan base (largest funder) holding the stewards of the club to account. A club continually milking the fans like a cash cow whilst simultaneously spitting i their faces

Charlton are awful - but we are worse.

We're getting worse by the week and I'm now struggling to see 3 worse teams than us. Looking grim now.

Awful manager, board, owners, recruitment. It's a miracle we've staved off relegation this long with incompetent clowns owning and running the club.
