Next Rovers manager

Usually I’d feel at least some optimism after a useless manager has left, I’m just thinking it’ll get worse. 
 

Do those idiots in India even know we’ve sacked the manager? 
 

We have no one at the club who knows how to recruit a manager. We’ve had muppets in charge for many years, Swag for the example, but at least he had experience of running a club(even if it was into the ground).

Having slept on it and if they were prepared to throw a shit ton of money at it  I basically agree with the principle but Allardyce or Warnock for this season rather than Mowbray.

There’s no way we should be looking at Warnock. How many times has he retired now? His heart’s not in it, at the very least we need someone who actively wants to be involved in football

Might until the end of the season on big wages plus his usual massive bonus for staying up. (Despite him saying on Uber Eats(?) "He's done enough".

You'd fancy Savage will get an EFL gig at some stage, his record in management so far is very impressive.

If we were to go down he'd be a punt at League One level I'm sure, but for now? Would it be a huge risk?

I did advocate for Dave Challinor this time last year, could he be a short and long term option should we go down? Are we a better bet than Stockport?

I reckon he would take it, but I'm not sure he's the answer and I doubt we'd approach him.

Lowe was only in charge for 3 games before they secured a permanent replacement.

Posted it in the other thread, but my biggest fear is more links to guys like Luis Boa Morte and George Boateng.

We need a guy who will keep us up this season, then plan long-term in summer with time to shape squad (not that we will obviously)

I liked Big Sam when he was here. Blowing him out was what started the rot and it’s been downhill ever since that day.  However he’s in the “ Time waits for no man “ bracket for me - like Mark Hughes, Souey, Sherwood etc

Really annoyed me the snobbery about Allardyce when he was here, fell out with my dad about it at the time. He was one of the ones complaining about style of football.

I've never given a single toss about "style of football". I've filled it alongside nonsense like 'The West Ham Way'. I don't care if we play ugly and win 1-0 every week. Better than being open and losing 3-2 and 4-3 and winning nowt. For me, all sport is about winning and it doesn't matter how you do it as long as it's within the rules and fair. When your name goes on a trophy it doesn't have an extra spot that mentions the manner in which you won. You're the best. End of.

Would he cost money? Yes. 

Would he come back until the end of the season? I believe so. The Podcast was all about Rovers at one point. 

Apart from the money, it could come down to whether Rudy felt that he was treated with 'respect' when he was on. I remember Natalie Pike slating the food offering at Ewood; that probably hurt Mr Gestede's ego a bit too much to call Sam again.
