Souness must go ?

Souness and the players must dig us out of the position we're in - anything else is a fanciful diversion.  The club's situation could be transformed with a couple of wins, but... it's very easy to be relegated from the Premiership - even with a good squad of players - as West Ham found last out last season.

We need a win or two soon.

we don't need Berkovic or  Dunn, we have Gary Flitcroft, he averages at least 2 goals and 2 asists a season

Matt Jansen, Grabbi and Tommo are all capable of playing 'in the hole'.

But Souness has to play Tugay, Flitcroft and Ferguson to achieve his personal crusade to take over from Houllier as the Premiership's most negative boss.

get a grip and get to the ground to show your support :brfc:  :brfc:

After having re-read this thread which contains more than twice as many posts and views on this page than any other the funny thing is that the above advice was found on page one.

I commend it to you all and trust that despite everything that has been said here all TRUE Rovers fans follow it  ???

Oh no- Our first bad run from the man who took us from mid-division one bullsh*t to 6th place in the Premiership!

Lets get rid of the best manager we have had for a few years.

I say get a fu**ing life to those who are getting carried away with what we are really are about. Maybe we have done too well for our own good in the last couple of seasons.

Constant progression in the Premiership is hard to do so don't think we can just do it. Especially when those think we can leap to Champions League quality!

He is not as stupid as you think, he knows we need a left sided player but just won't bring in anyone!!

As I have said before, we are lucky to have him- he is a passionate man, and so am I !!!!!

People like Jim may have a personality problem with GS, but the fact is he has kept Jack Walker's club alive!!!! x

I recall a quote from the 'great man' Brian Kidd stating that the club had lost it's heartbeat. Probably the most accurate thing he said during his reign.

Without doubt Souness has breathed life back into the corpse that languished in the lower reaches of Division 1.

Rover6.  Have you watched any of the teams Souness has put out sicne his arrival?  Negative is the last thing you could have described them as.

Please tell me you're a wind-up.

In no way am I supporting the antics (i.e. S*** stirring) of Rover6 but the team/formation against Sothampton was negative. Souness said the 0-0 would have been a good result - and thats what he set Rovers up to do.

Having said that I for one would also have been happy with a 0-0 away.

On the contrary he must stay.

See you in the 1st div next season.

Would love to see it (and Leeds) and see how you handle the real world without the sky money

We did ok last time, if you remember!

                                 0-2

                                 5-0

:D       :tu:    :p

But there are no guarantees that you will be there to greet us are there.  I mean if your borrowed team goes back from whence they came what do you have left.

Half term can be really boring can't it?

Get a grip. Go get yourself a part time job or something. You could always be a substitute for 'tclarets at Wolves?

One good thing that Souness has brought to this club is a period of stability when it most needed it. It would seem that well-earned stability is now in danger of being threatened, and I think part of that must be down to some of Souness' own actions.

However, as I have posted elsewhere, I am not for sacking Souness now just as I was against sacking Roy Hodgson at the time; and I also expect that under Souness'  leadership, the season will end satisfactorily.

However, I would like to see Souness change his ways, learn from his mistakes, accept that everything  is not necessarily everybody's fall except his own, eat a bit of humble pie occasionally, and to lead the team in a responsible manner and by example. Getting rid of Souness now would be a mistake, and we are unlikely to be able to attract anyone better or of a higher calibre anyway.

Yes

And stop it (and restart it) after each of the next 3 losses, I mean games- just to see how opinion shifts.

Also the ones who after the next three losses still want to keep him should have their names published so that we can ensure they get the help they obviously need.   :<img src=:'>

If we lose our next 3 games I`ll stand by Souness and if that I means I need help then so be it.

It will be interesting to see if other opions change if we win the next 3 though.

Jump on them bandwagons folks. Its an easy ride.

I ain't getting involed in the sack him or not debate, but what I will say is there is a right time for every manager to leave the club they are at (Brian Clough). The thing I agree with some people on is that GS does not seem to want to accept any blame for the teams current form it's always someone else fault or it's just bad luck. He rather die than admit he's struggling & maybe have made a few mistakes in team selection & tactics, thats just the way he is. I think the team will come good but it's gonna have to be sooner rather than later. BTW Fergie, Tugay & Flitty should never be playing in the same team.
