  1. It is true. Which is strange as haven’t they heard of ‘massively increased operating costs’
  2. Owen Coyle was like a performing seal on the touch line, means nowt, you can still be calm but get your point across to the players . However, this fella’s inaction is at a different level to what I’ve seen before, as tomphil says it’s like he’s completely detached, and it’s reflected in his game management. Cardiff game, went behind in the last half hour changed nothing for the next 15 minutes. Last night, 2-0 down, at home, and didn’t make a change from the 46th to 76th minute whilst stood like a statue. Really odd.
  3. Oh it’s 20k to 24k of home fans now 🙄 We didn’t get close to 24k home fans for most of the PL days, despite that status and being a happy club and fanbase, why the bloody hell would we now under a new owner in this league? Nobody expects that. No idea what your point is? Neither do you by the sounds of it (apart from besmirching Glen).
  4. I’m not doubting it, BnWR, I’m doubting you when you said new owners couldn’t possibly see us hit 20k - it’s only 3,700 from where we are now. We very much possibly could, just like we very possibly could have new owners. Step away from the board, you are contradicting yourself post to post.
  5. Hang on despite a decade of farce we have an average crowd of 16,354, but we couldn’t possibly add 3,700 to that under a driven and engaged new ownership? You are talking some right confused twaddle.
  6. Oh if the three stooges said it, must be true 🙄
  7. How many clubs in the top two divisions have the same owners they had in, say, November 2010?
  8. The old line that nobody else would possibly want to buy an established Championship club, with a 31k stadium, a Cat 1 academy and a decent training ground. Despite foreign owners falling over themselves to buy English clubs. Aye, not remotely possible, so lets hope Venky’s stay for another fifteen years, we’d be Bury otherwise.
  9. BnWR has always been pro regime and now he starts posting for the first time in nearly a year casting aspersions about Glen and ‘division’… well, what a shock!
  10. So what’s your point, Glen is in Swag’s pocket?
  11. Indeed it isn’t, but it’s always a faff after work and no chance I’m rushing around to support a regime and manager that are going through the motions themselves.
  12. Think this will be the first home game out of choice I’ve not been to since, well, ever.
  13. Yeah because it will be exactly the same protests re chickens that it was in 2011/12. Great use of ‘intelligence’ and resource there…
  14. ‘Protest in your own time’ Tomorrow, 10am in my kitchen I’m going for.
  15. ‘He’s cheap compared to O’Neill and the rest of them, so he’ll do.’
  16. I think their ST sales were in the hundreds, bumped up by big away followings and comp tickets.
  17. The obvious comparison is the Blackpool NAPM against the Oystons. Crowds completely collapsed down to a few hundred and as local businessmen owners the jig was up as revenue collapsed along with it. Here, crowds drop down to just Swag-hail themselves and Chadster, so 31,365 empty seats, would they give a fuck? Or would they just shut the academy, flog Brockhall and operate it as a shell L2 club? Crowds will collapse here too regardless next season, but I still don’t see it pushing them out the door. It’s a completely unique situation as these people just don’t operate by the usual laws of football ownership.
  18. https://x.com/allrovers_/status/1908350007054364756?s=46&t=0qpJAzFbB4pruhsuQZIcKg TalkSport last night (can’t embed it)
  19. So he knows he’s on three month probation yet he still stands there/sits there half arsed ignoring the players (and fans)? Strange bloke, and a ridiculous appointment.
  20. ‘We are not a sacking club’ like it’s a badge of honour, a sign of a ‘proper football club’ when in reality they are merely doing the bidding of owners who won’t pay compo. The constant stream of BS falls on deaf ears now, fellas.
  21. To be fair Gestede did say we can’t think about budgets yet as we aren’t sure what league we’ll be in next season…
  22. No that will be around the figure they’ll say… how many will actually be paid for tickets and not freebies/comps is another issue…
  23. Clubs make mistakes with managerial appointments, nature of the beast. However, if a dud of this magnitude got a gig elsewhere the owner/board would have them out the door sharpish. Here? He’ll be in situ next season without a doubt.
  24. They won’t as there will only be the absolute hardcore left, and the vast majority of those will want to ‘get behind the lads, as who else would buy us?’ The ‘protest’ next season will be the banks upon banks of empty seats when we have only c5,000 ST holders.
