January Transfer Window.

Most of the current recruitment staff wasn't in place for the last window as many scouts left during last season and the summer. and what a waste of money he was for Chelsea despite his record in the PL. He was never the right fit for them before they signed him before So why don't let Rovers get on with it instead of complaining cos we aren't sign anyone yet. They will be plenty of reasons why we haven't sign anyone yet. People need to patience So what are going to judge on when alot of the work he is doing will be in private away from public? -
Made some good runs in between the centre backs/full backs, drop down to allow Gallagher for him one on one with keeper. He did fine yesterday, did you not see the game yesterday?

We are 6 months into this project so why don't you have any faith in him. Since he has come in we have brought in head coach, head of recruitment plus a number of other staff with the football set up, decide we need head of European scouting back. What do you want GB to do? -
Yes. I like Vale. You don't rate him. fair. we won't agree on him but do we need to discussing it on here tho. No we don't cos its utter pointless. I would start either Vale or Dolan but depends if we bring in a striker this week.
-
Markanday plays from the right. You witness that yesterday. He isn't a striker. BBD plays his best from the left but yet you want then both up front with no width and given that Bristol City play 3-5-2 would make it easy for them. You could drop 3 or 4 very easy from yesterday starting 11

Thanks. Don't most strikers now come drop deep someone and then run in behind someone. I take you would prefer more than target man type then to be a focus point of the forward line Yes you could sell him and bring in a couple of players but does the wage budget allow this which is the same as last season. Can the wage budget be increase if you sell BBD to bring him 2 or 3 players? This is the sort of problems most clubs go through. How much could we spent on replace BBD which would need 2 players. A wide left player and striker. So how much can you spend on both in terms of fees and wages, etc. What type of quality is around. Does BBD want to go? maybe he wants to sign a pre contract with foreign club for the last 12 months. We just don't know I think he will move to Spain in the summer and I think that always been preference thanks for reply. We need our front players to press from the front. The quote was we have healthy budget compare to teams without parachute payments. We spend between 4 to 5 million in the summer. We might maybe spend 1 million this window. -
Who supply the width on the pitch? full backs? Stick to playing 4-2-3-1. Markanday would start on the right. Diaz on the left. either Vale or Dolan up front that isn't good news.

I would start Markanday and Buckley at Bristol City on Saturday

Where did I defend anything. I said we were poor. what more needs saying but I don't OTT about it. when we played with a quick tempo during games we looks miles better. We don't play like for 90 mins cos no team can't. If you disgaree fine cos I not going to massive argument about it with time after time, game after game. We win as a team and lose as a team. The player are on the field and they have to make decisions on the game situation. Gallagher didn't look fit yesterday and was awful tbh. He played wide left instead and looks very ineffective as I ever know. No play them here and develop here. They weren't the problem and at least Vale makes some decent runs down the channels and drop deep when he did. Garrett made tackles and was decent. They were bigger problems then those two yesterday -

is Gelhardt not a number 9/striker? he is 21 years old? is that a kid really? Is Ryan Porteous a kid being 23 years old? We don't have the money to go out there to sign a proven striker at this level but our market is signing a loan player or risk on player from overseas or someone who has 6 months left on the contract? -

I posted the 3 chances yesterday before anything JDT said yesterday Dack should have glanced it into the far post. Gallagher's effort less said about it the better tbh. Hedges should have lift it over the keeper Sorry, but I have the same attitude for years towards watching Rovers/football for years. nice calm approach is needed watching Rovers, Haven't listened to Broughton podcast yet. -

Does anyone know what Gelhardt's strengths and weaknesses are? would he suit how Rovers play under JDT? smart recruitment and this is the type of signing we should be making. targeting players with less than 12 months left on the contract. Low fees. Rovers need to use this market more. What are his strengths and weaknesses Mike? Guess it depends who available and the budget we have. -
Markanday scores. 2-1 Rovers

I am still in very much of JDT and what he wants to achieve it here. Achieving this will take time and bringing in the right players into the squad to make us stronger and better on the pitch to achieve that will take time. I was talking to another passionate Rovers fan(ST holder) last night in the pub who I have know for over 30 years and someone I called a family friend who isn't a fan of JDT and we have a good discussion about it. We didn't agree about JDT. Rovers have displayed that at times but yesterday it was missing massively. on tip tap football? When we passed it around yesterday we created the best 3 chances of the game but we missed them all. I think you can play quick passing football and achieve promotion as teams over the years have shown. We need the players to this style and I think over the next 18 months we can achieve this -

Who can be happy with any defeat but we are in the early stages of this project and whilst defeats do hurt me I don't overreacted whether we win, lose or draw. Nor do I get angry or utter rage over a game of football. That is where you wrong here roversfan99, I like us playing short passing game when we play with quick tempo its works good and we look good playing. When we slow it down far too much we look poor doing it. But there is nothing wrong with long passes or clearly your lines. That down to the players being able to make a decision on the pitch what pass is right at the time Yes we did in the first half and Gallagher got one and one with the keeper. Then the rest was embarrassing from Gallagher. playing Vale and Garrett is least of our problems. Played ok yesterday but it was worry the way Kaminski, Ayala, Hyam and Gallagher played yesterday. Kaminski made 2 mistakes yesterday which is unlike him. -

my question was fair and simple. if you don't want to answer then fair enough league position is what matters and winning enough games whoever they are against. yes at times we have and other times not enough -
losing 1 nil

one defeat it back to this talk of sacking the head coach. Its really has stop from fans who over reacting every time to losing a game of football. Look at the league position and we are well above anyone expectations from the start of the season including even mine I am very positive person but I didn't expect by 3rd this season. anyway guys, enjoy the rest of the day and I giving this place a wide berth for the rest of the day
