  1. Hoping to grind out a 1-0 win (feels like we’ve Big Sam in charge again, writing that), but I think we’ll get a hammering tomorrow. I’ll be honest, I’ve not felt as apathetic to watching us since we went bottom of League 1, under Tony Mowbray though, after defeat at home to Doncaster. Since Saturday evening, I’ve ignored every Championship result and haven’t looked at the table.
  2. I’ve just about calmed down after Saturday. We are absolutely awful to watch, even when we win. It’s all about not losing and sticking 11 men behind the ball. It reminds me of when Allardyce was in charge. Paying £50 a month to watch us having 1 shot on target for a full game and defend for the rest of it, is not something I’ll be doing next season. I’ll be blunt here: if he’s still here in summer, my season ticket won’t be being renewed because there is absolutely no enjoyment in going to Ewood currently. Say what you want about Mowbray, but at least we gave it a shot under him.
  3. Absolute rubbish- Mowbray’s been gone for months. This is on JDT. As a season ticket holder, we’ve been absolutely abysmal to watch most of this season. 2 of those goals today have come from JDT’s style of fannying around with it at the back.
  4. For anyone who’s watched us regularly this season, this has been coming for a long time.
  5. Allardyce special needed for me next week. Gallagher, Diaz and Hurst upfront, and spend the week on corners and high balls into the box. They’re beatable on what I’m seeing here.
  6. Just watching it- their backline don’t look great under pressure and with high balls.
  7. You’re not far wrong from what you’ve seen. As a season ticket holder, I think you’re bang on with your summary.
  8. I was absolutely baffled by the Hurst sub. He looked our main threat. Bang on about Mowbray too- he’s long gone, so is about half the team from last season too.
  9. That is the second home game in a row that I’ve walked out early. The scoreline flattered us. The midfield was once again major issue. You could have drove a 747 through it today. I honestly believe it’s down to the way we’re set up. We’re far too wide as a unit. We also created very little. If things don’t change, we’re in a relegation battle. JDT is increasingly looking like he’s out of his depth. I get the sense he’s trying to play something the squad isn’t capable of.
  10. Sack him... bring in Klopp and let’s see what he can do with one of the lowest budgets in the league. ? Should have won, but the backline hasn’t been good enough.
  11. There’s an audio choice, under the settings button.
  12. Suspect we’ll see Dolan towards the end, alongside Benno.
  13. Ref has ruined that half for me!
  14. Anyone having Ifollow issues?
  15. My all time favourite!
  16. Memories of Andy Todd...
  17. Amoruso- I don’t think I’ve seen a slower defender. Jayson Leutwiler is probably the worst keeper I’ve seen playing for us, but I’m too young to remember Alan Fettis, which a chap at work has mentioned! He’s coaching in Man Utd’s set-up now though, according to Wikipedia.... https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alan_Fettis My all time top crap player though is Etuhu. The bloke was an absolute waste of space. Those mentioned above might have been crap, but at least they tried!
  18. We have progressed though. Try and downgrade it as much as you want, we’ve done better than last year.
  19. I’ve said before and I’ll say it again, we need a proper keeping coach. The bloke we’ve got has never even played the game professionally. Walton’s a good keeper but he won’t progress with who’s training him.
  20. Stay- the lowest we can finish in the top half the table, which is better than last year’s finish of 15th. Whatever you say, that’s progress. The best case scenario? 8th. I think we have the right to expect a top 6 finish next season though, unless we have a bad summer window.
  21. Has the sound just disappeared on anyone else’s? Edit- we are back!
  22. Fowler was ridiculously unfit when he arrived, and well past it. From that era, Amoruso was bloody awful too- never seen such a slow defender! Looking to more recent times, Paul Taylor, Paul Caddis, Chris Brown and Wes Brown anyone? Lots of shouts for Fettis, but I would strongly argue Leutwiler is the worst keeper I’ve ever seen between our sticks. Then again, I’m too young to remember Fettis!
  23. Whilst I agree with FFP being unfair, I couldn’t disagree more about clubs not being bailed out- look at all of League 2 and 1, bar a few cases, there is absolutely no one going to come in and throw money at those clubs because it makes absolutely no financial sense. There could well be some fan owners be willing to chuck money like it’s no object, but you’re not seriously suggesting 71 millionaires/ billionaires, who each support a different club, in The Football League are you? There wasn’t before FFP was introduced and with the current impending economic crisis, if FFP was scrapped, there sure won’t be now. This is serious- clubs outside the top flight are in trouble if this season isn’t finished.
  24. I can’t see this happening. My understanding is he drives to and from his family home everyday. Add to the fact he’s already managed up there and has- at this moment- an outside chance of managing in the top flight with us next year, surely it’s no go. Mowbray has a lot to thank us for too- his managerial career was pretty much finished until we took him on. I remember my Bolton mate laughing his head off, when he took over from Coyle...
