allrovertheworld Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 Can't believe we have puled this off. When Michel Salgado does a press up he isn't lifting himself up, hes pushing the earth down.

dj54nna Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 Michel Salgado once kicked the world's most beautiful man in the face. This is all that remained.
JamieUK Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 team for next week : ---------------Salgado-------------- Salgado Salgado Salgado Salgado Salgado Salgado Salgado Salgado ----------Salgado Salgado----------
stuwilky Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 Michel Salgado doesn't need International Clearence Sadly he does, despite be able to kill 3 birds with 0 stones.
Paul Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 I'd initially thought this guy was a midfielder and this was the reason for Sam pushing the board hard for him. I don't understand why we should be paying top dollar to an ageing defender - he's just two months from being 34 - when we desperately need quality in midfield. It's being suggested Salgado is receiving £40,000 week. That would have gone a long way towards paying a quality central midfielder. Very disappointed in JW for allowing this and Sam for pursuing it. As for his ability he's going to need to be outstanding every game to justify the transfer. 17 appearances in the last two seasons for Real Madrid.

And how many quality central midfielders do you think we could have got for nothing? This guy can do a good job for us for the next couple of seasons, he's in the same mould as several successful signings that Sam made at Bolton. We might not have a crisis in that area but strength in depth is important too. If we had £5m odd to spend and he went out and spent that on a defender that wouldve been a different issue.
Atomicrover Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 Bit harsh on old Dirk! Michel Salgado is so super that his name can be rearranged to spell Mad Chile Goals Is that Kuyt....or Dowie?!
Kelbo Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 Michel Salgado doesn't need International Clearence Yes he does, all players do, Europe or not. Yes he does, all players do, Europe or not. I think even a player who was playing in the league of Wales would need international clearance too as he is under the banner of the Welsh FA!!
Billy Castell Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 Amazing how he is already a cult figure, and he's going to lead us to glory etc. I hope he lives up to expectations, and batters all before him. Fairly of course.

What would you of said if we didnt sign him & nobody else? "The board didnt back sam" Salgado is a freebie, no quality midfielder would be available for free. I also very much doubt Salgado is taking 40k a week.
riverside returns Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 that was the worlds most ugly foorball player and now manager 'Dowie' so very harsh on Dirk
booth Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 Michel Salgado once kicked the world's most beautiful man in the face. This is all that remained. Sullying a good thread with that... Excellent signing!
waggy Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 He'll be earning closer to £20,000 than £50,000. Don't be ignoring any of the words I've written before replying to that. think 40k is nearer 50k ps these were shillotos words
S15 Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 Waggy you cretin, where has it been said he's earning £40,000 a week? Again, one person guesses £20,000, another suggests £40,000. There is no facts, only suggestions, but obviously you're too thick to realise this, hence your post.

S15 Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 The said poster said prior to this, ''It has been suggested.'' If only you could read Waggy, it would save alot of space on this MB. The said poster too, has no inside knowledge.
Blue n White Rover Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 Michel Salgado once caught a bullet with his bare hands!
Blueheart Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 He obviously has not done his homework on Blackburn and Big Sam if he is looking forward to '' pure football '' as he refers to in his report!
riverside returns Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 He is not referring to 'pure' football like Wenger does but more to the origins and ideals of football as a concept.
Jackson Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 ...to kick or head a ball into a net, by fair means or foul. And, Michel Salgado makes Kryptonite sick.
Tim Southampton Rover Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 Michel Salgado's dad is bigger than my dad.
