PAFELL Posted December 24, 2011 Posted December 24, 2011 Craig Noone of brighton is worth looking at. Very good player.
roverandout Posted December 24, 2011 Posted December 24, 2011 we are going to end up with noone noone!!!
Scott18 Posted December 24, 2011 Posted December 24, 2011 If Hoilett goes then we should go for Kalou on loan. Probably don't have enough money for his wages but he could just be the player we need to change our season.
John Posted December 24, 2011 Posted December 24, 2011 No point singing anyone, especially under Kean as manager, we will just rack up more debt unnecessarily when relegation looms.
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted December 24, 2011 Moderation Lead Posted December 24, 2011 May as well close this thread, if we can't afford to sack Kean, we can't afford to bring anyone in, never mind on a permanent transfer. Horrible times.
vintageadidas Posted December 25, 2011 Posted December 25, 2011 I heard scouts where out watching Nicky Maynard recently. Him and Yakubu would fire us back up!!
ChelseaOhMy Posted December 25, 2011 Posted December 25, 2011 What positions do you need replacement/cover in? Apart from Kean.
67splitscreen Posted December 25, 2011 Posted December 25, 2011 What positions do you need replacement/cover in? Apart from Kean. Perm 11 from 11.
ChelseaOhMy Posted December 25, 2011 Posted December 25, 2011 I'd like to see Wayne Bridge, we would benefit from having a proper left back to bring more balance to the side. Not sure if we could get him on loan or not. If you need a proper left back try to get Ryan Bertrand on loan. I have no idea why he doesn't get gametime with us, as he would easily walk in most Prem teams out of the top six. (outside special cases, like Everton and Baines)
Scirocco Posted December 26, 2011 Posted December 26, 2011 I hope we get Chris Gunter. Good young defensive player, we need defensive and Mid-field recruits before getting a striker. We are scoring goals so theres not much a problem there. We just can't keep a clean sheet to save ourselfs...

We need left back aswell plus a ball winning midfielder and another striker. we need at least 4 players in this window.
67splitscreen Posted December 26, 2011 Posted December 26, 2011 Missed the boat again Rovers, Gunter off elsewhere? Probably in the mirror tonight.
The Rover of Finland Posted December 26, 2011 Posted December 26, 2011 Missed the boat again Rovers, Gunter off elsewhere? Probably in the mirror tonight. Smart move for him.

(outside special cases, like Everton and Baines) Obviously nothing to do with having England's left back in that position for Chelsea could it?
67splitscreen Posted December 26, 2011 Posted December 26, 2011 Obviously nothing to do with having England's left back in that position for Chelsea could it? Bertrand plays RB I seem to remember him playing there against us in game last season or something ( ressies or academy). Could be wrong.
trueblueroversiloveu Posted December 26, 2011 Posted December 26, 2011 some players who i would consider realistic targets in january , either on loan or small fee , some have been linked some haven't , some we would only bring if players left all are PL based what are your thoughts Wayne Bridge Nedum Onouha Andy Johnson Damien Duff Jermaine Pennant Stephen Ireland Marouan Chammakh Darron Gibson Mohammed Diame Almost all of the above will cost 40000 a week atleast, ireland is the only name i'd be interested in, but then again i dont think there's much point specualting about names like these. Jon stead anyone?
47er Posted December 26, 2011 Posted December 26, 2011 I understood the Andy Johnson deal is as good as done. He wants to come-----could be the 50000 a week we've offered! Onahua is the man ear-marked to replace Samba I'd guess. The young Forest defender was the replacement for Salgado but that seems unlikely now and that leaves us with a defensive mid-fielder and one other and haven't seen any links there as yet. I would assume its all dependent on losing Samba and Hoilett so I can't get too carried away!
Exiled_Rover Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 Andy Johnson? (Please don't use that word again) off.
davulsukur Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 Andy Johnson and Zamora were left out of the squad for yesterdays game for Fulham. Didn't sound like either were injured. Guessing both will be off in a few days.
Commondore Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 I would take both Zamora and Johnson. I would too (on realistic wages that is) but this squad screams for fullbacks and defensive midfielders! New strikers are low priority.
OJRovers Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 We've got £20m to spend in January according to one of the players I would get rid of Kean first and give it the new manager
Clitherover Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 We've got £20m to spend in January according to one of the players Yeah right, I'll believe that when I see it.
AJW Posted December 27, 2011 Author Posted December 27, 2011 We've got £20m to spend in January according to one of the players I would get rid of Kean first and give it the new manager yeh , £12m for Samba and £8m for hoillet
