Stuart Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 Just seen what Barton got away with - disgustingDid he get booked? Hope not because he may get a ban for that one.Another stupid rule though that if the ref did book him then he gets away with it. He is a really contemptible individual.
Backroom DE. Posted April 2, 2016 Backroom Posted April 2, 2016 It's funny how Barton pretends to be an intellectual to distance himself from his reputation as a thug. Lipstick on a pig comes to mind.
VinjayV4 Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 Seems I'm not the only one who thinks Burnley is the most boring, unmarketable, least fascinating name in the league. https://twitter.com/joe_weller_/status/716256116833984512
Backroom Tom Posted April 2, 2016 Backroom Posted April 2, 2016 Rotherhams run goes on Unbelievable stuff

Backroom DE. Posted April 2, 2016 Backroom Posted April 2, 2016 Just seen that the ex-Blackburn legend Derbyshire got sent of for 'violent conduct'. First time he's ever been sent off in England apparently.
philipl Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 Rotherham to rescue themselves from certain relegation this season with a title winning sequence of results then carry on winning and lifting the actual title next season? No never happens- stuff of fairy tales....
Backroom DE. Posted April 2, 2016 Backroom Posted April 2, 2016 I reckon you'd get some good odds if you fancied a punt
chaddyrovers Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 Fair play to Colin at Rotherham for doing some a good job there. Looking like Bolton, Charlton and Mk Dons are going down

Burnley Football Club seems quite appropriate.
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted April 3, 2016 Moderation Lead Posted April 3, 2016 That kid is probably a bitter Brighton fan and he's got a soft lad haircut, why does it matter what he thinks?
Athlete Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 Fair play to Colin at Rotherham for doing some a good job Lol warnock is manager the same Neil warnock you derided not so long ago His CV is 2nd to non as soon as he took over I said no way would Rotherham go down
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 Lol warnock is manager the same Neil warnock you derided not so long ago His CV is 2nd to non as soon as he took over I said no way would Rotherham go down Like him or loathe him he's a perfect match for clubs like Rotherham. I thought he'd do the business there as well. Would he have succeeded at Rovers given our playing staff ? I'm not so sure.

Athlete Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 Ive already said he done a good job there. Would I want him at Rovers? No thanks Unless things get sorted behind the scenes with a proper structure and funds for a push the likes of us getting another decent manager will diminish
Iceman Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 We just have a lot if cack in the squad to have done anything. In all honesty majority of the squad should be let go free or sold if we can get a fee
Blue blood Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 Like him or loathe him he's a perfect match for clubs like Rotherham. I thought he'd do the business there as well. Would he have succeeded at Rovers given our playing staff ? I'm not so sure. I think the main problem is the first part - lots of fans loath him as a person and that puts them off his accomplishments. In this division his record is excellent, and he's showing it again, with a limited Rotherham team. So no reason why he wouldn't do it with us - also didn't he get QPR promoted who're of a similar style to us. Also if in Jan he'd been able to add a few players as Lambert did, that match his style, then it's more likely he'd do the business. How he does in the Premiership is another matter. Added to the fact he is dislikeable, and PL's premiership record (with Norwich) I'd go with Lambert if I had a choice. Or if there was even a choice - it's entirely academic, for now.
JHRover Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 Cardiff, a club that has had low gates all season and still have an unpopular owner and manager, have announced season ticket sales have passed 10,000 today. Why this club thinks it is so special that it doesn't need to get season tickets on sale asap I don't know, but virtually all our rivals have had a massive head start on selling season tickets, and our prices haven't even been announced yet.
gumboots Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 Yeah but it's not like we're all going to run off and buy tickets for burnley or pne or anything if they don't put them on sale soon is it. Sale sharks or clitheroe for us I think if they mess about and lambert leaves
SergeiTheMeerKat Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 Wasn't sure where to post this (Mods feel free to move it to another thread if you deem necessary). Is there a list of how much cash each Championship team has invested in a promotion year, going back 4-5 years? I realise that it's not a black and white question as some had better squads to begin with than others. I'm just curious. Thanks.

Invested as in money from the owners into the club or invested as in money spent on players? If second money spent on players including or excluding money earnt from sales? Leeds for example have spent money but only because the sold McCormack, so they'll give dodgy figures.

Reedy You're A Star Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 Wasn't sure where to post this (Mods feel free to move it to another thread if you deem necessary). Is there a list of how much cash each Championship team has invested in a promotion year, going back 4-5 years? I realise that it's not a black and white question as some had better squads to begin with than others. I'm just curious. Thanks. What does it matter what has been done by other people before? What matters is what we need now. We need a complete overhaul of the squad, the board and everything in between. That's gonna cost, a lot, but it's their own fault. We need the owners to back Lambert and to trust our best hope of promotion in 5 years. If not, they can kiss goodbye to ever recouping their money and ever owning a Premier League club again. It's time they got serious, @#/? or get off the pot and sell us to someone who will.
