I have to say, that back in the day, if you sent John Williams an email, most times you would get a response. Either through him, or Lyndsay Talbot, but there was communication.

If this is the attitude of the Rao's, then they must do one and get lost immediately.

If they dont want to sell or accept alternatives through Seneca, then the fans must walk away and let the club go into administration.. Then start all over again from the bottom, but have rid us of Venkys.

We are bloody not fools, and shouldnt be treated like fools by these planks who have disrespected the legacy of Uncle Jack, the club and more importantly the fans.

Down with Venkys, and rise up my fellow Rovers and lets see these losers fall.

Blackburn Rovers plan to make a key appointment to the management team at Ewood Park.

Following a number of changes at boardroom level during the 2015-16 season, this has provided an opportunity to reassess the management structure at the club.

At the centre of these discussions is creating a team which will take the club forward. One of the keys areas identified in order to achieve this is building stronger communications between the club and the Owners.

The Owners have provided financial support to the club for the last five years and have plans to invest further.

In order to ensure that this investment brings about the best possible chance of success for the club, a need for a new role within the management structure has been identified.

This role will be the key link between the club and the Owners. The Owners acknowledge that a new approach is needed to take the club to a new level. The person appointed will have the responsibility of managing communications between the club and the Owners, as well as managing the expectations from both sides.

The vacancy is being advertised shortly and will be live for the next 28 days. Following this, there will be interviews for candidates shortlisted and the successful candidate will be announced at the beginning of July.

Mike Cheston, Director of Blackburn Rovers, said: “We are delighted to advertise this position, as it will help improve the dialogue between the Owners, the club and its supporters and is one example of the club’s commitment to improve its communications.”

I could have saved them all those words. We are advertising for a communications director and we have no plans to fill any of the other vacant roles within the club.

What is it with them appointing 'Communication Directors'? How had is it to pick up the phone or send an email?

Talk about having the wrong priorities.

Total joke of a club.

Not sure about the reference to "stronger communications". The statement ought to read "The owners recognise a need for communication between them and the supporters something which has been completely absent since they took control". However, why is this stuff coming out at a time when the Manager's position ought to be given 100% attention? There are only so many hours in the day and if Cheston is key to the selection process he needs to be free of other stuff. I despair

Anyway, we had a Communications Director who quit obviously disillusioned with Ewood. Clearly they are looking to appoint someone to that role but at a lower cost. In most other organisations it is called "restructuring". They must think we are idiots not to see through it

The people who should be communicating with the owners are a Chairman and Chief Executive.

If Cheston is running the show at Ewood it should be HIM that speaks to the owners, not some overpaid ex-reporter or PR man.

My bet is that we get a few weeks of lip service from whoever gets the job, then it will be silence again and another high wage on the Ewood gravy train.

Wow, exciting times.

Senior management restructure - what's happening are Cheston and Silvester swapping desks?

Big deal. This is non news and the absolute bare minimum they should be doing.

I fully expect the Lancashire Telegraph to take the club to the cleaners over the phrase "plan to invest further". Last time I looked we were over £100m in debt. "But hey, come on Mr Wheelock, you know the score, no tricky questions"

Tomorrow they'll be a similar job advert but for someone who can make a list of managers. "The Club hope to appoint someone who can produce a long list of names by November. At which point it is fully expected that a new manager will be in place to make signings during Decembers transfer window which will hopefully coincide with the release of season tickets. The club also hopes to have "a squad" of players by February."

Anybody who falls for this @#/?, should take a long hard look at themselves.

Boom, just like that a statement gets released about the owners wanting to have better communication etc.

Let me remind everybody how this exact thing played out before. We heard this before, then they appointed Myers, and for a brief time it was okay and things went quiet. Then madness ensued again, and people left, etc.

We have been here before, we know the drill with Venkys, they and whoever represents this club from a communications level should be ashamed of themselves.

@#/? these statements. If you wanted to mend things with fans, then hop on a damn plane, get over to Ewood and communicate with the fans face to face, mano e mano(i think thats right)

Venkys Out and thats it! No more of this nonsense and blatant disregard for fans. Venkys you are not wanted, so get lost

".....the person appointed will have responsibility of managing communications between the club and owner as well as managing the expectations from both sides..."

Lots of trips between Ewood and Pune and the chance to be two-faced to both parties by telling people what they want to hear rather than the truth. Sounds like a job for Steve Kean.

Well I reckon its gonna be that Sunil Pasha chappie, sticks out like a sore thumb, advertise for a couple of weeks meanwhile he works behind the scenes, Chesterton says we couldn't find anyone better so he gets the gig and a work permit, simples.

Who's written this sh1t?

Is Ches the new Paul Agnew?

To be honest it's a very insulting statement. As someone pointed out just who the hell do they think they're talking to, the line about investing in the club in the last 5 years is just beyond contempt.

They are responsible for spunking something like 100 mill in tv income, selling 60 mill plus worth of players and creating themselves a 100 million black hole along the way. So yeah invest is a great word I mean look at what that's achieved. Another 5 years of it and well........

I'm not sure who's written it, who's authorised it, the real message, what the desired affect is, what they hope to achieve.

Who thinks it's Ches trying to cosy up?

Is it Madam trying to put us back in our place,

While bitch slapping us in the face.

Is it Pascha?

I am completely bemused as to what it is and what it represents.

Its like blowing £100m at the casino and then expecting everyone's admiration for' investing' your money!

Just read the Keith Hill article on the LT which aside from saying Hill wants the job states the following;

- they've not given green light for iv's

- ST's announcement on Fri

- Retained player list out on Friday

Add to this the new restructure element and I would say they are warming up for a changing of the guard! Making decisions without a manager as changes are afoot...

Could they be about to do the deal with Seneca? With Pascha in position here to be their eyes and ears?

Wonder who's done the retained list

TBH I wouldn't read it as changing of the guard just more ineptness
