And none of that adds to Dolans abilities. For me Dolan was a poor player who had the odd good game for the Rovers.

I wish we still had him.

You don't fake Dolan's abilities. You coach him to produce his best consistently. Playing with and against much better players in La Liga is getting far more out of him than we did at Rovers.

The experience might also be instilling the footballing brain that was all too often lacking at Ewood.

Rigger painted himself into the Markanday corner (now in the fourth division) and still won’t put his hand up that he got that one wrong.

He wasn’t alone to be honest Matty, I questioned many times if those posters seats faced the pitch who thought he was poor.

Dolan was a good player here, an exciting player that got fans out of seats at times. I too wish we still had him.

I didn't paint myself into a corner. I stated my opinion, which I stick to. For me, Markanday was a better player than Dolan, and neither of them where good enough to be the Rovers first team starters. We now have even more that fall into that category.

So, tbc, you're insisting that tier 4 Markanday is better than La Liga Dolan?

Yes. If it is hard for you to understand my opinion that is on you. Why do you keep asking the same question.  Do you expect a different answer ?

I think it’s more that people struggle to understand still holding that viewpoint, with the change in their career trajectories tbh.

You realise this makes you sound insane, right?

It's literally the first time I've asked you that. If it is hard for you to understand that I'm not other people, that is on you. If you're stubborn enough to insist a League Two player is better than a La Liga regular and come in for a bit of flak, that's also on you.

Agree with above totally miss Dolan

I am pleased for the lad that he is doing well

another one we let go for free under this regime and another one we replaced with less quality

Insane that the mere conversation is dividing fans when the real problem is not the fans

Dolan sent off for two yellows tonight. Second is a shocking dive by the opposition player.

Lucky initially but a really good cross.

Espanol's first goal wasn't bad either!

That cross was perfect. The most dangerous ball you can play whipped right across the six yard box, just slightly too far for the keeper to commit to coming out.

Poor initial touch (off a difficult ball tbf), but he more than made up for it with his subsequent effort. So many players would put 80% in to getting that ball back. He put 110% in and forced the mistake. The difference between making it appear like you want the ball, and really really wanting it. I loved that aspect of his play here as well.

Cross was mint as you say.

Yeah, and you have all the defenders running back towards their own goal not knowing exactly where their opponents are.

His crossing has been really good this season - must pay off having a team of solid coaches around you.

They’re playing him in his best position. None of this out on the left cutting inside bollocks.

He was much improved last season.

I didnt expect him to play such an important role in a team comfortably 5th in La Liga.

A lot of people were prematurely suggesting that his agent didnt have his best interests at heart. I felt at the time that it was sour grapes and that the blame needed to be aimed internally at allowing the situation to end how it did. The move he has made couldnt have been much better for him.

As every good winger should be left foot on the left etc, whip balls in. ball is most dangerous around the penalty area and not edge of the box after a cut in!

More English players need to go abroad.
