He's been horrendous today Clearly shouldn't have been played in this one. As I said before the game there is no way I would have done anything other than rested him. And it seems I was justified in that as he apparently played shit, and they lost anyway. Edited January 11 by bluebruce 2 1 Quote

He clearly allowed them one last stab at an equaliser. I've always understood that you're not supposed to end a half whilst a team is actively engaged in an attack. Noticed how you never see a fulltime whistle blown when somebody is about to strike the ball? I don't know if it's a written rule or an unwritten one, but when I was a kid I was told it was a rule. 1 Quote

Wasn't there a world cup match that a British ref blew-up for half time as one team scored from a corner ? It was a while ago. 2 Quote

The part about doing so generally causing controversy seems to be backed up by the reactions to those two decisions. Sounds like Clive mostly did it because he was naffed off at the procrastination by the corner taker. Btw below this it does say a penalty kick is an exception that must always be taken. 1 Quote

It seemed the Palace manage was seeking to cup tie any player that is attracting interest - keen to keep his best players until the end of the season (when he is also expecting to leave). Quote

philipl Posted January 16 Posted January 16 The news of Guehi and Glaser's departure from Palace plus Mateta being available for sale surely means Adam is on his way either in this window or next. 6 Quote
Elrovers Posted yesterday at 15:39 Posted yesterday at 15:39 A bit stupid of people to base him off one game. Just because he got sent off doesn’t mean he’s shite. 1 Quote
jim mk2 Posted yesterday at 15:48 Posted yesterday at 15:48 Wharton sent off on another bad day for Palace who appear to be in freefall. Are they going to do a Leicester and drop down the league in the relegation battle Hopefully Quote

roversfan99 Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago I really dont get this anti English player agenda you seem so keen to push. Our media often overhypes English players. 2 Quote

I’ve always believed it to be because the watch isn’t stopped for every single stoppage in play. Therefore the 45+? Or 90+? Are really after the final attacking threat when time is reached. 1 Quote

Yeah, for that English ref to blow for time a split second before a Brazil player headed the ball in to goal from a corner was ridiculous. Anybody else would have waited until either a goal was scored or the ball was cleared. 1 Quote

Backroom Tom Posted 6 hours ago Backroom Posted 6 hours ago Brainless tackle for the second yellow, almost identical to one he should have been sent off for in his first season at palace against Burnley, I liked that one though! 2 Quote
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago (edited) The frustration was there for all to see. Been there, done that. He’s probably tired of seeing all the players that they were building a good team around being sold off. He’ll be the first one out of the club in Summer.
