Bronzed A Donis Posted May 7 Posted May 7 Pretty sure the intention is to carry on in the Championship next year. I think there is a minimum yearly wage that players have to be paid though in line with new tv deal, it wouldn't surprise me if the do a U turn and choke on then idea of doing that. Quote

Poor way to treat the team and staff. If true, and Ellie has posted on X, and seems to confirm this, it is disgusting. Just shows the depth's these fraudsters will fall to to save a few rupees. I hope that they see the error of their ways, but where they are concerned, I have no hope, just despair. 9 Quote

Hannoverover Posted Tuesday at 17:29 Posted Tuesday at 17:29 Crazy with how the game is growing and the history that we have, that we are trying to kill our womens team. Surely the value for money in supporting and interacting with our local community must be there. 6 Quote
RTM08 Posted Tuesday at 18:18 Posted Tuesday at 18:18 I thought the owners can put in whatever money they wanted and there was no issues? If so, the women's team should be easy enough to maintain. Of course, that was nonsense soundbites to appease sycophants and the ignorant. 5 Quote
Mattyblue Posted Tuesday at 18:34 Posted Tuesday at 18:34 Not part of FFP, so obviously no issue with funding a women’s team as they never refuse a cheq…oh! 8 Quote
Popular Post Gav Posted Tuesday at 18:57 Popular Post Posted Tuesday at 18:57 Henry Winter all over this story too, a real friend of the supporters and the club before the parasites took over. 18 Quote
Waggy76 Posted Tuesday at 19:06 Posted Tuesday at 19:06 This kind of public knowledge , with the main players taking up the story , might just be the beginning of the end ! I live in hope 🙏 Why they don't sell the club or put into administration ? They don't want to own it and never have , it is absolutely crazy. 7 Quote
roversfan99 Posted Tuesday at 19:20 Posted Tuesday at 19:20 Another day, yet more shame cast upon the club. The club is full of useless arse lickers. Suhail, Waggott, Gestede, Yasir Sufi. Get rid of all of them though and still the problem remains. That claim that they never refuse to write a cheque becomes more and more laughable by the day. 5 Quote
Bronzed A Donis Posted Tuesday at 19:21 Posted Tuesday at 19:21 (edited) Everything gets worse under these twats. They pulled the plug in funding when they first came in too. How anyone can't see the bullshit from our Billionaire owners stooges I don't know. We've ceased to be a club , we're an Indian brats forgotten toy , now played with by a set of self serving talentless losers. First the Women and then the mens team, follow the playbook. Proudtobeblue&white Posted Tuesday at 19:55 Author Posted Tuesday at 19:55 Amazing Everton agree not to demolish Goodison to make it the home of their woman's team. Our owner's are not right in the head for taking us on. Still hate them! 4 Quote

Absolutely. One of the good guys throughout this whole charade. When we do have new owners one day, it would be good if we could do something, as fans, to thank Henry for standing by us and for speaking the truth. I have to say though, Gav, please spare a thought for all of the potatoes out there that are turning to liquid right now at the mention of Henry Winter. Imagine being a Rovers fan for 60 years, experiencing all the ups and downs, living through the horrible Anderson/Kean/Venky period, and then seeing Henry Winter consistently bat in your favour for 15 years, regularly fighting your corner. A rare hero throughout this dark Rovers period, no? Or would your immediate response to a Rovers win, a day after Henry pens another supportive piece be: "Where's Henry Winter now!?" Like some six year old kid that can't handle what Horrid Henry is saying? One by one, they will all trip themselves up. That process has already started. 1 Quote
TugaysMarlboro Posted Tuesday at 20:46 Posted Tuesday at 20:46 (edited) Really poor showing by the owners (no surprise) especially as they never refuse to sign a cheque. You only have to look back to last summer, when the club let 10 players leave at the end of their contracts — including that season’s top scorer and Player of the Season. Since then, they've effectively chosen to pay the remaining players the UK minimum wage (which, if memory serves, increased this April and likely factors into the situation). There are also claims that this pay didn't even cover travel expenses for away fixtures. To compound these issues, we then heard about the petty restrictions allegedly imposed at the training centre, reports about players being prohibited from using basic amenities like coffee machines. These weren't just whispers either, some of the very players who have since left the club corroborated these claims. For anyone who thinks this issue only concerns the women's team, just watch the podcast with Elliott Bennett and see how he was treated toward the end of his time at the club. It shows that this is simply how the club operates now. Edited Tuesday at 20:48 by TugaysMarlboro 8 Quote
roversfan99 Posted Tuesday at 20:55 Posted Tuesday at 20:55 Its the fans fault this is happening and its necessary due to FFP. Quote

Bronzed A Donis Posted Tuesday at 21:33 Posted Tuesday at 21:33 To keep within FFP rules.... "In the English Championship, certain costs at football clubs are excluded from Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR) calculations, including those related to youth development, women's football, community projects, and infrastructure. This allows clubs to invest in these areas without impacting their overall financial compliance with PSR." I'm anticipating this will be the clubs angle (I know you're reading) It's bigger than the women's team, it's about how our owners treat the club and some fans will climb over themselves to support this. "None so blind as those who will not see" 9 Quote
Tomphil2 Posted Tuesday at 21:59 Posted Tuesday at 21:59 Ask that pillock Terry what the gates were when the women's team was started, allegedly at the request of Mrs D. 1 Quote

There are already plenty of people citing this is a necessary reason on social media and I think the club, being quite content to mislead will allude to this without quite saying it. 1 Quote

Oh right see what you mean. I can’t imagine they’d stoop so low as to blatantly deceive the fan base on matters of fact. Then again…. 1 Quote
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago It’s on the back page of today’s “ Guardian “ with more of the story on an inside page. It’s featured as an exclusive by Tom Garry - “ Blackburn tell angry players WSL 2 place is in jeopardy. “ It doesn’t really tell us anything thst we on here don’t already know. It just refers to “ Blackburn “, it doesn’t mention the Chicken Chokers at all. It come to something when the women players have more balls than the men when it comes to speaking out ! Quote
