We do the same with Szmodics, Carter, Dolan, JRC... the cycle will continue until we make the breakthrough and get promoted.

There'll be only one way we're going if we keep selling our better players and financially with all due respect apart from SS couldn't see any of the others raising much.

So.....We've flogged off the crown jewels (Phillips and Wharton) for the grand sum of £24m.

What do we do in 12 to 18 months Time?

No, because we have a substantial sell-on fee with Phillips and we will likely have something similar with Wharton.

If either one of them fulfills their potential and the 'crown jewel' status, then we will probably have brought in closer to 40m+. That's a lot of money for two relatively unproven players from the Championship.

Crystal Palace could well get relegated this season as they are only 5p clear off and it will be coming to a club fighting relegation.....If he loves the club so much a move to one of the bigger clubs would had been more sensible......

Palace also play youth, vastly increasing the chance of a future sell on clause when Chelsea or someone of that ilk spend the big bucks on him. If we sold to a bigger club now, he would probably end up out on loan - Palace is a decent springboard for a big move in 2 years. Realistically, are Chelsea going to come in and spend £10m more than Palace? Doesn't appear likely.

It doesn't appear as if any other club put in a formal offer, either. If they go down though it may end up as an own goal for all involved.

I think we'll attract a lot of new exciting talent to our academy after those two success stories. And we've got more coming.

Travis was our captain

Isn't he captain of Leeds? That's not happening, surely?

Look at Travis....maybe a loan until end of season...contract expire.... he's not in the starting eleven...

Really not sure about this American lad, £2.3m for 15 goals in 37 MLS appearances doesn't bode well.  We don't need potentially another donkey upfront (hope I have to eat my words)

It's pretty misleading. It's his first season and he's been used as a sub a lot. Works out at a goal every 107 minutes in the MLS regular season

Now Fabrizio official.

Will be sad to see him go, be it now or whenever. But in another way, great to see one of the academy lads get a move to the prem. It's one thing buying and selling an Arma or Kaminski, but this is a product of the club. Well done to him.

If Duncan McGuire ended up going to Wednesday, there'd be outrage. People would be saying we've missed out on the next big thing.

Now that it looks like we've won the race, he's suddenly the next George Hirst.

Bloody hell... if we sign him, just get behind the lad 👍

People will get behind him as they always do.

Great, developing players for other Clubs.

A completely pointless existence.

No it isn't, it would have been great to see him achieve success HERE with our Club. I wish AW no harm and I desperately wanted him to stay as the only way to progress imo is to keep hold of your better players and build round them but I eally couldn't care less what happens to him after he's left the Club, same applies to any other player.

This is classic football reverse psychology. We are slagging him off now before he signs so that he goes on to prove us all wrong. Come the end of the season, we'll all be wearing red, white and blue Uncle Sam outfits, waving American flags, chanting USA! USA! USA! while pledging our allegiance to the Flag of the United States and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

As long as we are compensated for these players that’s the way to try and increase revenue in the club, hopefully allowing the club to reinvest in players to ensure we have a more rounded squad.

Big if with owner issues, but let’s see what we manage to do in next couple of days.
