It just gets more embarrassing as the days go on…

If that's actually what happened

1 - it's a fucking shambles

2 - as a club, I am out and out lying about it.  Saying we did click submit but for some reason the system hasn't registered the submission. Presumably we can prove everything was completed properly and on time

Yeah but according to the athletic everything was correct with the paperwork it just wasn't sent off, someone clicked save instead of send

I don't agree that's Broughton's responsibility,we were trying to get other players in aswell. If the paperwork was checked over and it's true that someone clicked save instead of send then the blame lies elsewhere for me.

But Broughton stated that all procedures had been revisited after last year's cockup and promised it would never happen again.

It's simple - click send, check that it has sent, print off verification get a manager/peer to check the verification.

Not click any button and go for a cup of tea.

In saying that if I was Broughton I would leave of my own accord, budget slashed in summer and then being told you can't have any of the Wharton money after making bids for players earlier in the day.

Where else did Broughton have to be other than check everything went through smoothly?

Utterly ridiculous

The timeline of events shows we probably never really wanted it to go through. It was their side that prompted the loan agreement after they saw the Wharton deal was going through they rang Broughton rather than the other way round.

I also feel that out of all the major players at Ewood GB is the least to blame and the only one thats actually been doing his job well (ie. identifying players to sign and convincing them to join us!) It's clearly those around and above him that all have their own agendas and are doing their utmost to bring the club (further) down! Even Tommason(who I'm generally a fan of) is lucky to be in job purely for footballing reasons and the clubs awful league results. But sadly I think Broughton will be the one that is made the fall guy(again) as he seems to be quite dignified and willing to take the blame for other peoples fk ups.

Come on, let's leave people's names out of it.

It's been suggested that these two have left the Club. Why shouldn't we discuss it?

Like SG I've never heard of Mr Hassan or what role he holds/held at the Club so I think it's worth clarifying.

Like I said previously we still hadn't completed the fleck signing. They were trying to get other players In the door

Was Ennis fully completed?

He could have been doing a number of things ,taking calls from clubs enquiring about our players ,taking calls from clubs/agents offering players, contacting clubs asking about loans, negotiating with fleck .

We dont hear about everything that happened on transfer deadline day but I'm pretty certain at other clubs the dofs ain't sat around submitting documents .Now if it turned out the documentation was filled out incorrectly then I would be putting blame on Broughton, but an error like clicking save instead of send, i dont think Broughton can be blamed for not believing someone would be stupid enough to do thst

Don’t take it as gospel but I did hear that rover the dog has left the club today, they sold the outfit and told him to just go round the stands barking like a dog , venkys felt that people wouldn’t notice the difference and they could make a bit on the outfit, subject to paperwork being completed correctly

Interestingly you're meant to get a notification on submission apparently.

Evidently Rovers didn't get a notification after 3 hours.

IT MAKES NO SENSE!!!

IF YOU DON'T GET A NOTIFICATION ON ONE OF OUR BIGGEST SIGNINGS IN YEARS YOU'D LOOK WHY!!!!

IT DOESN'T ADD UP

Procedures were put in place. GB promised it would not happen again

You're going through some pretty tortuous mental gymnastics to absolve GB of any blame I'll give you that.

End of the day he's ultimately responsible for failures on the football side as DOF. Just as Venky's are ultimately responsible as owners

He obviously will be busy on deadline day but he is our director of football. He oversees recruitment. It is absolutely his responsibility to ensure that the deal is 100% sent off. Youd especially double check and be extra viligant after the last farce. What happened to these new processes.

I dont get why he is absolved of blame in your head. The club is full of clowns including him, and yet none are the actual problem.
