Its personal choice and people should be allow to do that. It's their choice

Isn't is Sodexo who runs the Concourse kiosks and its their profit you are hitting not Rovers?

I get that it is personal choice. The coalition are appealing to that personal choice

Nobody is insinuating there’s going to be some miners strike style “scab” assaults if you do decide to buy a pint. It is an appeal

It would make it less likely Sodexo continue with their pisspoor operations at Ewood if they don’t meet their margin

It will probably work like that. Sodexo will make get cost back, and then make a fee on top and have a share deal with the club for the rest. It will be open book. If they don’t make their margin, I suspect Rovers will have to pay Sodexo up so it covers staff, food, transport costs  etc and then fee

Not buying in the ground will absolutely impact BRFC commercially

Always take a flask and a few cups and a few of us share it. To be fair, there's never been a problem taking it in.

Daughter buys the grandkids chips now and again, but the chances of me buying on the concourse disappeared when it went card only. Not just aiming it at Rovers, it should be against the law.

Think the most damning stat is 75 to 80% of seats were empty. A direct result of the Rao's ownership

Dingle mates always use the empty seat thing to give me stick.

Not difficult to point out though, that they would have had about 14000 empty seats for their Premier league game against Fulham the other night, if The Dome was the same size as Ewood.

It isn't really a good gauge, considering Ewood is 30-50% bigger than most grounds.

Agree with those sentiments

Stewards did threats that yesterday apparently.

So much for free speech! Not allowed at Ewood. I suppose someone with money could challenge that but most haven't.

Absolutely agree with you there.

Indeed. And then they get us there it will then be time to point at Bolton, Huddersfield, Bradford, Cardiff and shout 'we can't compete with that'.

Then a few more years and they'll be pointing towards Notts County, Swindon and Oldham and 'we can't compete with that'.

The trouble when you've got no pride or ambition and are solely interested in cutting costs and corners is that there's no end to it - you can always find more to cut, more reductions to be made, more excuses to throw out.

Play the game long enough and I'm sure we could say that we can't compete with the likes of Carlisle and Southend.

And then when the realisation kicks in for those that didn't boycott they'll be wishing they had. Because our club will have plummeted never to return. Then they'll be the ones saying this is shit I'm not bothering watching this tripe anymore.

Can we add Robert Coar to the title of this thread please?

Why is this guy still on the board and not in a retirement home?

He’s as silent and complicit as anyone at the club and getting an easy ride for someone who’s been at the club so long.

Coar OUT

On the subject of dingles but completely off topic…

Where have our two ‘regular ones’ gone’??

If they don’t post when they’re doing shit they shouldn’t be allowed to post when they’re doing well. (imho)

Anyone "know" (I accept nobody may have a definitiv 100% confirmation) if Pashas India jaunt was scheduled or if it was more of a spontaneous summons?

My "grasping at straws" hope is that the public scrutiny after the abandoned games circus has knocked his credibility "this week".

Coupled with Pickering being played, Gueye being dropped, Tavares not coming on and VI actually mentioning telephone contact (though without context or timeline) my Christmas hope is that we might see Pasha recede to the shadows for a while and maybe even a football related patsy (sorry CEO) installed which tends to lead to better short term decisions for about 10 months (or longer if the head coach is sufficiently mediocre to never threaten the playoffs)

You’ll only ruin your own Christmas, don’t get your hopes up.

I was told as at last Friday he'd been expected back a week previously and there was still no sign.

However as J*B says its probably just a case of getting hopes up prematurely.

Just wait and see. I wonder if he will be back for the Wrexham game at home on New Year day.

I guess we have a new CEO appointment shortly after the New Year. That appointment will tell us if Pasha is coming back or not
