Ossydave Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Genuinely think he'll be gone tomorrow reading between the lines, yesterday was last chance saloon, a draw may have saved him but the gun is cocked and loaded now Quote

JHRover Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago The problem the regime faces is that the longer this situation continues the more and more suspicious it gets. I mean most of us have known for years that the fundamental metrics in football - results, points, performances, league positions, improvement, promotions etc. are absolutely and utterly irrelevant to the regime. I'd suggest you are deluded if you thing the owners or their stooges spend any of their time thinking about such things. But up to now their disregard for such trivial matters has been hidden away. Now it is coming clear even to the head in sand brigade and the wider football world. With 1 win in 15 and sat in the relegation zone there really is no more to say and nothing to hide behind there. It is going to look very suspicious indeed if they do nothing now. Some would even suggest that relegation is desired if they allow this untenable situation to continue where it wouldn't be permitted at any other club. 7 Quote

Similar to the Premier relegation and giving Kean a new contract , the Authorities knew or had a good idea , but choose not to rock the boat , .Easier for BRFC to disappear to the lower leagues!.. 1 Quote
yellowsubmarine Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Woke up and surprised no news yet. Maybe Rovers want to give Val a good Sunday rest. Quote

Pasha and Gestede are complicit in this and are responsible for giving him a 3 year contract. The owners are unlikely to know. Pasha’s course on how to run a football club, will not have sunk in yet, he will surely have referred to page 412 subsection 3.9 where it says if your manager doesn’t get a win in 10 games, sack him, but he probably thinks thats gone now and it doesn’t say no win in 10,11,12 and 13 as no one has usually gone that long and still been in a job. They will give him the Sheffield Wednesday game, we'll win that and everything will be rosey again in Vals world. "I said for weeks the win is coming" He only needs 1 more game to match Mowbray's horror run of 1 win in 15 league games back in 2021. Quote

Fair play if you're confident we'd beat Sheff Wednesday under him, I wouldn't be. Quote

Even if they do get rid - will be after the transfer window shuts - limiting what a new manager can do - great planning by the people running the club. Quote
Tomphil2 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago In their mind once he gets that first elusive win in 15 it'll reset the bar and he's ok for another 15. The incompetence levels are staggering but entirely predictable and i think the arse covering is the main issue. These lot are employed as cost cutters and money gatherers from wheeling and dealing players. So to go to their bosses and say we need x amount to fight this Macron lot and possibly several hundred grand for the find. Also we'd like a million or two to remove the head coach and staff and replace them..... Not happening is it they'll just bury their heads then phone them when they've agreed another big outgoing transfer fee. That's how it works here so i'd suggest the only chance of change is if Ismael walks or one the Pune lot takes notice and insists on the axe dropping. 2 Quote

Till the end of season, I don't think we'd get anyone better. 2 Quote

DutchRover Posted 46 minutes ago Posted 46 minutes ago My read was that Mowbray was successfully able to sideline Suhail, going directly to Venkys, bringing in his ally Waggot. Really doubt Suhail would be pushing for him to come back; I would guess Venkys are saying "we liked that Mowbray fellow get him back to save us" Quote
