Always willing to give a manager a fair shot - but it's clear that it's not working and we desperately need a change, quickly.

You can blame luck in certain games, but to be where we are after 10 games (notwithstanding the collapse last season), I just can't see things improving.

We need results and rapidly.

His record is horrific, his whole appointment was widely frowned upon and he hasn't proven anyone wrong.

The players whilst in many cases are limited in ability, are playing with absolutely zero confidence and the manager 100% holds responsibilityfor that. Yuki for example despite his goal tonight is a shell of his former self, even Morishita looks like he's had any positivity stamped out of him.

These players are not playing for VI, they are not buying into his plan, whatever that may be. They don't like him, that must is obvious.

Unpopular opinion maybe but we'd benefit from a Mowbray type now. Not saying specifically him but a similar manager who can put an arm round some of them and make them believe in themselves again.

i thought ismael got caught out tactically in the 2nd half, sheff utd were finding loads of space between our defence and midfield and he did`nt realise what was going on,that said you can only do so much with poor/average players, especially if you sell your decent ones

Just a brief reminder that the manager signed a 3.5-year deal and is absolutely not getting sacked by Rudy “we are not a sacking club” Gestede or Suhail “spending money does not guarantee success” Pasha. Rao family will be updated on tonight’s scoreline and “bad luck” at breakfast in a few hours, before moving onto more pressing matters.

I can honestly see him losing the next 6 matches in a row and he still won’t be under any pressure by Rudy and Pasha.

What on earth he was thinking with those subs tonight the whole approach is clueless.

Id absolutely love to dig out my first post I did on Valerian Ismael around him being terrible.

Barnsley fans not rating him.

But I can't be fucked.

He IS FUCKING SHIT. @chaddyrovers where are you? Excited by him being appointed?

Pasha, Gestede, Owens, Ismael hang your heads in fucking shame!

You keep saying that Barnsley fans dont rate him. How many Barnsley fans do you know that have told you this?

He had an outstanding season there, any Barnsley fan who doesnt rate him based on finishing 5th with them is clearly bitter after he ditched them.

It was clearly very much the exception to the rule in his managerial career, he has failed everywhere since and hes a poor manager. But I dont get why you keep saying this and then avoid questions about it.

Why’s Gestede turned the comments off on his Instagram?

Somebody needs to turn his lights out with a well placed  right hook.

Please, ask your Barnsley mates who have any idea about football.

Then come back to me please.

When taken last season's results into account as well, his record is crap:

22 matches -   6 wins, 4 draws 12 losses, goal difference: 22-30, total points: 22

Points per game (PPG): 1,00

Win percentage: 27 %

Home record (total): 11 matches - 2 wins, 3 draws, 6 losses, goal difference: 14-19, total points: 9

Sidenotes: two of the wins from last season came against teams with nothing to play for at that stage (Sunderland and Watford). It took him five matches last season before first home win came against Millwall. This season, we're still without a win in five.

This is definitely relegation-type stats at display here. I feel his game management is really poor as well making some rather strange second-half substitutions and having lost three home games already this season from a winning position. That combined with players coming into the squad lacking in Championship experience and you will probably see the team drop even more points from winning positions as the season carries on. Also, being poor at home is often devastating for teams, especially when you're fighting at the bottom end of the table.

Does he deserve to get sacked? Yes

Will he get sacked any time soon? No, because he accepted being brought into the club's "mission" of managing a team that's in a "transitional" period and taking a salary to become the club's new PR guy in front of the cameras.

I dont have any, but I am not the one making weird claims specifically focusing on the one job where he actually had a massively successful spell there.

How many people do you know that support Barnsley? Is it based on one or two, or loads?

Either way, they clearly must be bitter that he left for "not rating him" because he did really well there. He finished 5th in the Championship with Barnsley. If they dont rate him specifically based off only that season then they are the ones who dont know anything about football.

Ask fans of any of the clubs aside fron Barnsley and theyll think hes shit because he has done poor jobs everywhere else. I just cant get my head around why you keep going back to the one very good job he has done to try and prove he is a poor manager, when youve got numerous spells at other clubs were he has failed to go at.

It would be like saying, Owen Coyle is rubbish, even ask Burnley fans.

Another man management masterclass. Some managers you’d run through a brick wall for, can’t see that being the case here!

VI on subs🗣️

"The striker we've got on the bench was Pape, who came on at the end.

"Honestly, the performance from Pape last weekend didn't convince me that he would make an impact for us at the minute.“

He was an underwhelming and shitty appointment at the time and the best a bad bunch could come up with.

Shame on the owners of this club. You're responsible for them all.

And no wonder Pape is disinterested with that public assessment. Way to motivate your players Val

Well... Always want to give a fair shake to a manager, and hes basically had an entire team sold from under him. That said, seen enough for him to go now.

Pros - does seem to be able to setup a team to play well for the first hour or so

Cons - cant bring on subs or change the system mid game without everything falling apart, poor defending free kick and set pieces, doesnt seem to care
