Intrigued to see how the team will look come first game of the season and worried for the season ahead if we really won’t spend anything / venkys can’t send money and we need to blood a crop of youngsters into the first team prematurely due to selling anything and everything of any value

Concerned it could be a starting 11 of

toth

duru s Wharton hyam pickering

buckley JRC (if neither find a new home)

The problem would be, if that's the best team we can put out, what happens when we get the inevitable injuries and suspensions?

Disaster I'd say.

Want to keep developing kids to make the first team?

Easy, just drop down the leagues.

We'll find out in the next few years for sure and whilst it's an unpopular opinion and in no way an endorsement of his overall ability or tenure it might turn out it was only Waggots interventions that kept us in this league recently.

Venkys only plan since their tenure  began is to asset strip the club!

There is nothing left on the carcass, relegation beckons.

We have such wonderful owners, many posters are asking, why do they still want us??

That would be the first question I would be asking at these fan consultation meetings..

I'm no fan of the Venkys and their ownership but the often made claim of asset stripping makes no sense given they're estimated to be at a loss of £200m. Had they taken over, sold anything of worth and then sold the club to turn gain an overall profit, then yes, that would have been asset stripping.

Heard Rovers keen on Ryan Cooney (right back) and Ricky Jade Jones (striker).  Sounds about our level of ambition.

Is it their money they've put in?

Problems with that began just after takeover on instruction by the agents who were employed to run the show looking for personal gain bagging Mrs D the wage bill must be cut.  I'd say they were responsible for the asset stripping when they set their intentions in motion of selling everybody and bringing in cheaper replacement whilst garnering their %.

Idiots in Pune signed all this off instead of listening to Allardyce, Williams etc, just when they should have been using their wealth and takeover to build the club up again they all began pulling it apart.

So the asset stripping tag has stuck and they hold ultimate responsibility for that even if now it doesn't really fit their agenda.

Jade Jones wouldn't be terrible. I can imagine he would frustrate a lot of our fans, he can be a big threat because he's absolutely lightening quick but can be wasteful in front of goal.

For those who want more pace in the team, he's arguably the quickest player in this country. The sort of player this lot could make a fortune on if they can get consistent end product out of him.

It's the sort of signing we should be making in my opinion... A good age and a lot of potential. The issue is getting him at a reasonable price from Posh and they're always (rightly so) tough to deal with.

He's out of contract - albeit aged 22 - so the fee probably goes to a tribunal.

Yeap over a week ago it was reported...Then add a day or 2 before hand for your standard delay in reporting  etc...Pasha says no.

Also bizarre to report "advanced stages" as a local journalist and then not follow up on the story with any kind of update.

Just something the club told him to make it look like something is happening.

I imagine we might have enquired, certainly don't think it was anywhere near "advanced talks" though.

Rudy: Hello! We’re interest in your fine defender, Modibo Sagnan.
Montpellier: Ah yes, Modibo! Solid player. Are you looking to make an offer?
Rudy: We are indeed! So... can we have him?
Montpellier: Of course, if the price is right! What are you thinking?
Rudy: Here’s the twist - what if, and hear me out... you just give him to us?
Montpellier: What? Like... for free?
Rudy: Think of the wage savings! The changing room space...
Montpellier: Yeah okay no. Not gonna happen, goodbye.
Rudy: Wait wait wait!
Montpellier: *deep sigh* What now?
Rudy: I was joking! Classic Rudy, right? Let’s get serious - it’s time to advance with this.
Montpellier: Oh hahaha, you sneaky little rascal. Alright, alright - let’s talk!
Rudy: Hahaha... perfect. Now tell me this: Do you... like Pringles?

Yep, how can it be advanced talks when you can't afford the fee....

Waggott heading to a slightly early retirement isn't enough either.

Suhail Pasha OUT!

Probably a good enough assessment to get on Rudy’s shortlist.

I imagine there will be plenty of suiters at Championship level for him just for this attribute alone.

If we are in for him I just don't see him choosing us at all.

Isn’t Poku also out of contract at Peterborough. He’d be the better signing if there was a chance of getting him.

I thought I'd read Birmingham were getting him. Not sure how reliable that info was mind you.
