Nixon has you drooling!

You take it all in hook line and sinker just like other Rovers' fans will.

Just when will you learn and realise you are being spun what the wiser and far less gullible will think/know is a whole lot of garbage.

This from the biggest โ€œtid bitโ€ bullshitter that Blackburn Fans have ever seen.

He is very rated centre back and this is why you have scouting staff to scout players.ย

We should be signings from League 1 and 2 players, they are some good quality players who can make the step up to championship. Over the years we haven't look enough at that level

As of today is he better than either of Carter or Hyam ? Is he even a better shout that Pickering an emergency centre back ? ย The days of spending big for the future are over at Rovers. We need players to go straight into the starting 11.

I predict we won't sign a player capable of going into the starting 11 all summer.

All we are interested in is cheap squad players to sit on the bench and fill in when needed.

Very much a case of we will (well, most of us) believe it when we see it. Even if its true, means no one is close. No bids close to the actual asking price.

Would Gassama not be able to leave for free due to breach of contract? Either way, doesnt sound as if we are close to actually having a bid accepted. He is more of a left winger and is quite erratic, he isnt as productive as Dolan. He is quick and young and would be a good option to have but I certainly wont hold my breath.

Centre back stuff makes little sense either. We need a centre back to go straight into the team to replace Batth. Why would we go from a centre back who we have bid ยฃ1.5m which isnt enough who is 27 to a 21 year old whose club are demanding ยฃ3m?

All the while, Brittain, Tronstad and Travis remain the elephants in the room.

It all depends what the starting 11 is.

It is always better to read some rumors a so called journalist comes up with than the conspiracy mambo jambo some of the members here comes up with.ย

Lies or conspiracies.

Like choosing between a boot to the head, or to the groin.

The owners and their stooges laughably claimed to have backed Eustace with investment in January when we signed Woodrow and Forshaw and he walked within days of the window closing, so I think that says it all.

Their view of investment very different to mine and more importantly what is actually needed to get somewhere.

Can always rely on a friendly reporter or two to come to the Venky aid. Two big 'positives' in 24 hours with Brittain imminently signing and backing the manager with more cash.

Free credit for the Regime. Just need either of those things to actually happen now, which is the bit where we have a problem and the excuses tend to start.

'Money was available but we just couldn't spend it'

'We'd rather not spend than get ripped off by greedy players or clubs'

'We were close on Callum and offered him a big pay rise but his mind was made up and his Mrs wanted to go and live in Redcar'

I come to this topic for the gossip even if it won't come true. It's painful wading through the treacle of negativity...this is a summer transfer thread, brighten up.ย

Looks like you are a new poster.

Think there is little symmetry between 'Rovers' and 'brightness'.

You are always free to leave. Not negativity but painful realism.

Sinking lower every year, why should you expect optimism?

Accrington next week, and Everton the week after. We'll find out our strengths and weaknesses in the next fortnight, and what's needed in the transfer market.

Will we balls these are nothing more than leg stretching exercises.

We already know what we need and presumably so does the head coach but like those before him he'll get what he's given and lump it, if he's lucky that is.

I live in Sheffield and Wednesday fans really rate Gassama. Musaba is seen as the inconsistent one, Gassama has a much higher ceiling. Chansiri supposedly prioritised paying wages for the "assets" so they couldn't hand notice in.

No chance we get him even if he could walk on a free.ย

Same for Pye. Stockport POTS, YPOTS, PPOTS. Under contract for a few years so no chance. Always thought Nixon was Waggott's pal the way he comes out with this stuff. I reckon it's actually Suhail.

Nixon makes a living on filing football gossip. It puts food on his table so it doesnโ€™t matter to him whether it has a semblance of truth as long as it fills the column inches (in newspaper terms). In reality his nonsense can be ignored because only a tiny fraction of his stuff actually comes true

Thereโ€™s a couple of posters on here who have their ears to the ground on whatโ€™s going on in Ewood. Real contacts. Theyโ€™re the ones to watch

Heโ€™ll reply to himself soon and say itโ€™s actually spelt Pi. Then weโ€™ll know heโ€™s ok

So how much do we all expect ย the club to spend on new players between now and the end of the summer window?ย

4/5million - near 3 gone already allegedlyย

thatโ€™s without a sale and/or Dolan moving to a team in ukย

if one of the above/both happen Iโ€™d stretch to 6/7million
