Good move for Dolan, not sure he’s up to it, could easily see it being the next Brereton. But good luck to the lad. Let’s move on.

Anyone want to fall out about Ash Phillips?

A few months in La Liga followed by a Β£7M move to the Prem?Β πŸ˜‰Β

Absolute codswallop.

If Rovers are offering him 8 k p.w. and he can get a minimum of Β£15 k or Β£16 k anywhere else he's not going to sign a new deal here.Β

Neither are any of the other players in a similar boat.

Rev - please don't just pick on the last bit - earlier in my commentΒ

I still stand by my statement about loyalty - though maybe a different level, could you have seen Adam Wharton running down his contract in the same way Dolan did ? At the end of the day - he will still make more money in his short football career than some people will in their whole lifetime.

Scores in his first game, then starts to struggle, gets dropped, homesick, doesn't like the food or the weather, back on loan to Derby by Christmas

Well well turns out he's good enough for a top flight Spanish team to take a punt after all.

Who'd have thought........

Another BBD scenario. They'll ship him back to England for a profit within the next 12 months.

Ah okay fair enough.

I think the O'Brien signing was a much bigger miss than Undav given the fact we were extremely light in midfield at the time.

No. Undav proved he was significantly better than anything we had up front. His record since we didnt sign in the Premier League and Bundesliga shows that.

I honestly suspect he would have been the best striker to pull on a Rovers shirt since we got relegated, and might have been the difference between us getting in the play-offs and actually winning it.

Unfair comparison. Came from a Rovers supporting family with his brother Β already playing for us. Dolan had no such background.

It’s just funny how Diaz did the same thing (went to way more established team too btw) was called everything under the sunΒ

Dolan does it and it’s fair play tye hope you smash it - mentalΒ

Both made/are making totally understandable moves to try and move up in their career. Dont get any abuse towards either.

This is a strange article. Says we are keen to learn our lesson regarding the current crop who have a year left. But it "depends who you speak too" and we are comfortable letting them all stay without having signed a new deal. So not really learning any lessons.

Also says compensation will be Β£90k x how many years Dolan signs a contract for.

The only other lesson to be learned, would be making efforts to either sign up to a new contract (or sell) everyone who has aΒ  contract expiring the following summer (2027)

(so most of our squad because of the short contracts that they have been handing out over the past couple of years)

Dolan..yet another one of our better Players who walks for literally free from the Club?.

We are a Club owned by Billionaires who appear to be running us with austerity measures?.

Go figure, what a clusterfuck of a Football Club!!.

No further update on Hyam's new contract that was "close" about 2 weeks ago.

Strange that.

Dolan didn't down tools for six months prior he worked his bollocks off every week and gave 100% in every game.

Brereton hid on the touchline for half a season so as not to get injured instead of putting in a proper shift when he was needed the most.

To be fair, he was pretty poor up until the last couple of months. Could flip it and say he only started hitting form when trying to impress suitors. Not to say he didn’t try earlier in the season, but the form was very well timed.

That’s a myth aimed directly at a player because he was leaving when a team wasn’t performing well he scored 14 goals that season 4/5 assists in the same position Dolan played for usΒ

Dolan last season season 7 goals 6 assistsΒ

5 goals and 3 assists came from end of Jan onwards so where was he the first 6 months?

argument has to work both waysΒ

Yes that went very quiet, very quickly.Β  Buried by the signing of the Hull lad.Β  It will be trotted out again in a few weeks when we fail to sign another cb.Β

Really worried about the top end of the pitch.Β Β

Lost Dolan/Weimann from an already weak area and no striker/winger seems to be on the agenda.Β  Just midfield crocks.Β

Great move for him. He isn't good enough.

Agreed, absolute winner for him. He'll struggle over there and no doubt end up back in the Championship at some point, but on better wages and at a club that aren't owned by uninterested cunts.Β

Rovers pushing an article for Mullarkey Mathews... They're probably angling as Dolans replacement so they don't have to spend.Β

Β

Is he any good?Β
