Gaurentee that won't happen.

1 in 9 signings this summer with any kind of experience at this level.

Its unlikely i agree, but centre mid has gone from one our strongest positions to our weakest in 1 transfer.

Without signing one, we're in real trouble.

Taveres is the next Corry Evans. 5 yard sideways passes and no tackles. Did he make a single one yesterday?

He would develop that talent more on a loan into non league or at least regular football for the under 21s.

Not being our sub keeper who doesnt provide suitable cover at this level considering how young and raw he is.ย

Loans are great sometime but not all the time.ย

Which proven championship players were available within #Rovers budget?ย

If we can't afford to replace them like for like we shouldn't be letting them leave in the first place.

You won't be laughing when they batter us during the 150th anniversary "celebrations".

Also quit with the Derby Rovers nonsense, it's unbelievably childish and completely ignores the reasons why Eustace and half our squad wanted to move there.

Hmm...Starting to feel like we've been here before.....

Gordon Greer, Hope Akpan, Tommy Hoban, Wes Brown, Derrick Williams, Chris Brown etc

Yep same script but different policy in terms of age and wages.

Horrific thing is Brown was way better at ball control and hold up than Gueye although he couldn't score or be as athletic but he was a better all round player.

Hoban - McCloughlan similar i'd say.

Derek and Ribero different types but overall not much difference defence wise.

Akpan - Useless footballer at that level but better in the tackle than Sid.

Wes Brown and Gordon Greer i have no words.

I suppose a few of this lot can and will develop whereas virtually all that lot were eeking their last paydays here foisted on us by parasitic agents.

Doesn't help us in the short to medium term though where we are striking an unwanted resemblance to that team of misfits.

Would anyone take Dennis on a free?

Released by Forest. Obviously utter crap on his loan last year, but arguably a class above anything we have now and has some pedigree. Not sure I would but better than nothing and we probably couldnโ€™t afford him.

Intrigued and excited by the Gudjohnson signing. Gamble but hopefully it pays off.

Pears - what the hell is going/has gone on there? Is he just gonna disappear for the season while we pay him. Not a sniff of a transfer, hardly surprising, but itโ€™s a bizarre situation. My guess is he was one of the โ€˜coreโ€™ Eustace lads, most of who are now gone.ย

Not a chance on Dennis he has Leon Best written all over him he'll be injured pulling his socks up.

. As somebody rightly pointed out, wage budget usually correlate strongly with league position so that should put us in 18-20th place.ย

โ€˜Twas moi.

I guess Venkys donโ€™t think so though. Maybe they believe theyโ€™re on top of the game here and can put together a successful team while paying sub standard wages. Or maybe they just donโ€™t know what the hell theyโ€™re doing.ย
They could tell the truth and explain theyโ€™re cutting their financial backing, then the question would be โ€œwhy donโ€™t you sellโ€. It beats me what they are trying to achieve now.

Should be a great signing for them

Diaz is a good signing for that lot he'll fit well into Eustaces style imo hitting on the break after sitting back all the time.

He's a quality threat when he has a purple patch and it's now more evident than ever why Eustace wanted to go there.

I mean six out of the seven weren't even Rovers players when Derby signed them, but that doesn't suit the somewhat unamusing narrative or the idea that somehow Eustace is trying to shaft us etc.

Rave reviews are for this season for Doncaster in League one, has already been in the team of the weekย

Oh, apologies, I thought he was still out at Crewe I must have gotten muddled up. Fair enough, his last spell in League One was a fail though so no surprise for me he hasn't broken in here. If he does well for the rest of his loan he will surely get a chance here. If he doesn't, he shouldn't.ย

Andri Still made his national team, and I don't think it's because of his days at Gent. So there must be something there, where he has played well to have been selected for his national team.ย

Re Makhtar, some of you are hypocrites to be honest, because when he was scoring for us, he was the man. Now that he isn't playing well, he has to be sold.ย

Heโ€™s a confidence player and needs a run of games, unfortunately with our position in the league that would be quite a gamble when Ohashi is available.

BBD would only be a good signing because are wingers are terrible atm, not good enough to play up top and doesnโ€™t track back as a winger, one season wonderย

They're looking at Robert's on a permanent as well, ย that would be an unreal signing if they pull it off.ย

They are ALL confidence players. When faced with adversity and a run of poor results, heads tend to go down, rather than these pampered primadonnas pulling up their socks and girding their loins. However, such is the nature of the game of association football, it can happen that a team on a downer meets another in an even worse state (e.g. Hull vs Rovers last week) and that can be enough to create a pattern interrupt that begins to spiral upwards, although apparently not in our case, based on yesterday's ragbag result.

ย Anyway, the boss has a couple of weeks solid time with the lads to drill something into them, around whatever the new master plan happens to be. Let's hope that is long enough for some mettle to gel in the ranks.

Buckle up Dorothy, Kansas is about to go bye bye...!

Got to wonder how theyโ€™ll reflect on finishing midtable come the end of the season after that outlay

Need a decent, championship experienced centre mid now.

Listening to Elliot Jackson he said he doubted we would get a CM in. Feels like while we maybe just about have the numbers there (Tronstad, Tavares, Baraji, Montgomery) only one of them is definitely good enough. The other three all unproven, Tavares really struggling and Baraji injured.

To survive 3 games a week we will be using all four of them. If we aren't signing another only other option is to put Cantwell in that pool and use one of our many other number 10s.

Totally agree, we definitely need an experienced cm. If you canโ€™t control midfield you tend to lose games.ย

Plus i think Ismael has no time for him at all since he came in. Now we have Gudjonsen in I would not be surprised if we never see Gueye again.
