Here’s a little snippet from the programme. The usual amount of care and attention has gone into it I see.

Absolute husk of a club.

I didn’t bother staying for the lengends game, gutted I missed seeing Gordon Greer in action! What a lengend!

I had intended to, but the gap between our match finishing and this starting was about an hour - and I just couldn't be arsed.

Saw on social media that we were 2-0 up at HT (Bentley and Derbyshire, I think).

Similarly we would have stayed had the result been different but we were flat after our result and waiting the best part of an hour to watch was more than we could bear.

I don't think there was too much (if any) mention of the 150 year thing before the game.

Even the minutes silence/last post was disorganised.

Not too many were leaving right on the final whistle (or in the ten minutes before) in comparison to a normal game so there were definitely plenty open to staying, but they did then start traipsing off- but it was the hour wait that did it more than the actual defeat.

The only thing that looked impressive and like any thought had gone in was that some blue and white smoke/fireworks went off as the players walked out onto the pitch. Other than that, nothing memorable.

I didn't bother watching the 'legends' game as I think everything about it was a farce. Rubbish opponents, rubbish time to play the game, almost an hour to wait after full time for it to even start. Eustace and Derby team dancing round at the Darwen End celebrating with travelling fans. Felt miserable so walked straight out. It should have been done on a different day, probably in Pre season or during an international break, but that costs money and we don't spend money on anything, it's not in the owner's strategy.

I mean even if you didnt know anything whatsoever about the history of BRFC anyone with half a brain cell proof reading that should twig that couldnt possibly be correct.

As I said in response to Paul reporting no pies in the Riverside for the first time ever, no-one gives the shiniest shit down there.

Not going to shift many of those surplus replica shirts by closing the club shop on a home game with 18,000 fans walking past the locked doors.

Club shop shut after the game too, was going to get that high quality programme as I didn’t spot them on sale at the kiosks (as advertised).

Did anybody stay for legends game and was it any good?

For those who did go, how was the event/celebrations handled?

Yea stayed for the Lengends game looking around us looked depleted and further still after the halfway point and by the end looked very thin everywhere.

Thoroughly enjoyed the day apart from the result.  It was great to see so many old favourites at the Old Etonians game and a wonderful gesture by the Old Etonians to make a presentation to the club.  Thought the club did well in the end in terms of a celebration.  The Legends game was a welcome addition and everyone around me enjoyed that one.  A decent book produced and a programme on the day.  I don't usually buy shirts but I'll definitely get one of the White boxed ones when they come out.  As a celebration I thought it was a decent event - certainly, for me, better than the Centenary in 1975- the highlight of that one was the book Harry produced.
