LeftWinger Posted Friday at 09:47 Posted Friday at 09:47 You can get 9/2 on West Brom to get relegated. I can't see why that's such a long price. Over the last 20 games - they've got 10 points less than us! They got off to a good start and then completed imploded. They've lost 7 of their last 9 league games - including 3-0 and 5-0 defeats in their last 3. They are in massive trouble. 1 Quote
alexanders Posted Friday at 13:09 Posted Friday at 13:09 West Brom Confirm Andrew Nestor's Departure Amid Relegation Fight Last updated 2 hours ago West Bromwich Albion parted ways with president and sporting director Andrew Nestor after two turbulent years marked by managerial changes and poor results. Nestor oversaw four head coaches—Carlos Corberan, Tony Mowbray, Ryan Mason, and now Eric Ramsay—while the team sits 22nd in the Championship, two points above relegation with just one point from their last six games. Fans expressed frustration online, criticizing the cold club statement and calling for experienced football figures to step in as the club battles to stay up ahead of Saturday's home game against Stoke. RevidgeBlue Posted Friday at 13:18 Posted Friday at 13:18 It's hard to imagine West Brom just leaving things as they are if they dont pick up very quickly. I watched them at home against Middlesbrough and they actually played quite well, losing 2-3 right at the death. Im surprised their form has been as bad as it has. I definitely don't see them as certs to go down. 2 Quote
onlyonejackwalker Posted Friday at 20:36 Posted Friday at 20:36 (edited) Oxford - 27 West Brom - 32 Rovers - 32 Leicester - 32 Pompey - 33 Norwich - 33 Charlton - 36 Swansea - 39 Sheff United - 39 Southampton - 40 Southampton amd Sheff United are looking up, not down and will be ok. Swansea aren't great, but a 7 point buffer as of now should be enough to see them safe. Which leaves 2 from 7. Oxford are playing catch up. I think they are doomed. Which leaves 1 from 6. Norwich and Leicester should have more than enough to stay up, although Norwich have been pretty useless most of the season. Which leaves 1 from 4. Us, West Brom, Pompey and Charlton. We have been in steady decline, West Brom in freefall, Pompey have done well to jump a few places. Charlton remain pretty steady. I'm going to randomly guess that West Brom find somethimg from somwhere. But they better get a move on. That leaves 1 from 3 and Charlton have a four point start on us. And Portsmouth are a nuisance at home. -- Just read that Charlton have lost 9 of their last 15. Drawing 0-0 with QPR just now. Edited Friday at 20:43 by onlyonejackwalker Charlton update Quote
Backroom Tom Posted Friday at 20:55 Backroom Posted Friday at 20:55 (edited) I’ve felt for a while it’s Pompey or Charlton we need to get above one of them and we’ll stay up, I expect West Brom will get more results to take them away but hope the former 2 have extended dips in form. Pompey at home is a huge game for us. Expect we end the weekend back in the drop zone with West Brom getting a win tomorrow home to Stoke. Edited Friday at 20:56 by Tom Quote
wilsdenrover Posted Friday at 21:43 Posted Friday at 21:43 I’m still unsure where people’s confidence in WBA is coming from. 1 Quote
47er Posted Friday at 22:03 Posted Friday at 22:03 Great save from Kaminsky in extra time tom help Charlton get a point. Always rated him, surprised to see him at lowly Charlton. Quote

G Somerset Rover Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago The new guy won’t just need to be a good manager - he’ll need to be a miracle worker to keep this rabble up. Still 100% convinced as I have been for most of the season, that we’re as good as down. 6 Quote

We're weak in all areas of the pitch but most importantly the mentality just isn't there. I've never seen a team commit less. 4 Quote

JHRover Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Good news: Leicester and Portsmouth lost Bad news: Oxford got an excellent draw at Coventry with 10 men West Brom got a point and clean sheet Charlton got a point and clean sheet Exciting times these. Quote
MarkBRFC Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago (edited) Still convinced it will go pretty much to the wire. I dont see many points for us in the near future though, just have to hope the others around us are just as bad, and I think one or two of them are. Big night on Tuesday. West Brom, Leicester and Oxford are all playing as its FA Cup next weekend. Edited 7 hours ago by MarkBRFC Quote

Wasn't there a rumour that a players delegation went to see RG demanding the removal of Ismael? Cant blame them for that but If that's true the players have properly mugged themselves off with that 2nd half performance today. The thing that worries me is that Oxford have a lack of quality but a bit of fight about them ditto Portsmouth and Charlton. I think Leicester and WBA have a bit of quality about them albeit they're currently in disarray. Do we possess either attribute? Edited 7 hours ago by RevidgeBlue 4 Quote

Oxford have us, Wednesday and West Brom still to play at home. Plus Pompey away. With recent results they will still think they can stop up. Quote

yankfan Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Sad to see the two best stories of premier league champions sitting at the relegation zone liking at league 1. both clubs seem to be victims of the same mechanics to get here. From the bbc article about the spending at Leicester: "They've relied on player sales to dig them out of a really messy situation," said Maguire. "But if you keep selling your best players then that catches up with you. Might as well be taken straight from our relegation playbook Quote
Guy N. Cognito Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Rovers, Oxford, Portsmouth, WBA, Charlton... we're all shite. Our shiteness is more acute because we suffer it week in, week out. The difference will come down to management and organisation. Who is able to get blood out of a stone to scrape together enough points. That's why our next managerial appointment is crucial.... but who's holding their breath? Quote
G Somerset Rover Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago (edited) I really admire the optimism of those who don’t think it’s done and dusted yet. I wish I could understand where the goals and wins are coming from as I’m struggling to see either being remotely close to the required rate. Edited 3 hours ago by G Somerset Rover 2 Quote
wilsdenrover Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago If us, Oxford and WBA replicate our results of the previous 15 games for the remaining 15 games we’d finish above Oxford by 2 points and below WBA by 1 point. I don’t see why their forms are more likely to improve than ours, or in other words, it’s not over yet because we aren’t the only very shit team in this division. Quote
