How come we all know this was going to happen as we ticked down to the 90th minute, it’s a Blackburn rovers thing. We never get late winners, always losses.
somebody surely has to take a professional foul to stop them breaking on us when we are caught on the break. That’s lost points on not having champ experience, even forshaw would have stopped that I reckon.

if travis is going, are we replacing him or is it still just a rw to come in? We need a good few and a few of these new recruits don’t look up to it. We are already up against it

So much talk on forums for example “Venkys Out” “Pasha Out” etc etc etc but so little action!

we have a so called action group that from what I can see don’t really do much apart from bask in the glory of being invited to meetings!

Where are the pre game protests? After game protests? Action during games? The ground is completely silent! This action group can sod off as well as Venky’s!

I was thinking this, too. Going into the last 5 mins I felt sure City would have at least one big chance to get something from the game. And when it went to 1-1 with 10 extra minutes to play, I felt no confidence whatsoever that Rovers would strike back. There have been so many of our games that play out like this late in the match - and (virtually) never in our favour. That speaks not to refereeing, or 'luck', but to character, mindset, fitness, confidence, or all the above. The club has become overrun by losers and people who aren't good enough for whatever role they have, at all levels. We are a mess and I defy anyone to say administration and a fresh start would not be preferable to this horrific experience.

That isn't how I saw it today,I couldn't see Birmingham scoring from open play whatsoever. It was Rovers over committing to the win which cost them.

Lot of effort and generally we were ok. However pieces of poor play combined to see us lose it.
De Neve, Tavares and Miller have to stop that situation before the penalty.

Tavares corner is shocking, as is the decision to commit so many men that far forward. Not sure who the defender is who doesn’t even stick a leg out to stop the cross for the winner.

As Travis is clearly first choice midfielder then his promised ‘replacement’ should also be first choice. Let’s wait and see.

Do they charge by the word?

How much for three?

Fuck Off Venkys

Said in jest but actually a fair point -  if anyone can rent it out, maybe a suitable protest message?

The annoying thing is - Rovers probably have some sort of veto over what appears on that board so a protest message probably wouldn't be allowed whereas a sickly message saying how wonderful the opposing Club is, is apparently absolutely fine.

Symbolises perfectly what a joke Club we have become.

sidnei was struggling after the hour and should have been replaced.birmingham started to get on top at this time

de neve at fault for the penalty,he was badly outmuscled and turned giving no choice to the defenders, they had to stick out a leg.frankly de neve looks more out his depth than telalovic did,if we wanted a **** wide player,we might as well have kept markanday

today really showed how far we`ve regressed, birmingham an ok side but nothing special,we made them look better than they are

results like today are hard to forget,i suspect results will now completely fall off a clff,it looks like we`ll only be saved from relegation by clubs that are worse than us,lets hope there are 3/4 of them

Haven't seen anything of today's game and must admit these days of one of the first eleven kicked me in the bollocks I wouldn't know who they were. Although I'd never suspect a rovers player of being so on target.

Anyway. Haven't all of our seasons followed the same pattern. Initial struggle, then put together an amazing sequence of wine, to the table, fall away gradually then either stage a recovery and push for sixth and not quite make it or end up lower mid table ISH?

It's this season going to be more of the same? Seems not?

He’s on his way into my Blackburn Rovers worst 11.

My heads hurting after that mate and it's not because of the overly priced beer.

I was at a rugby league match with my wife and the opposing team had a young, very slight scrum half. My wife said - “ He looks like his legs are pinned on to the bottom of his shorts “. That remark came back to me when I saw DeNeve for the first time.

Will they heck! Guess there'll be pushing 2o to 21k on today ( or there should be at a minimum)

Officially 19,552 which would be about 12,500 Rovers fans.

Having said that the concourse was light so I suspect a few season ticket holder s counted in there were absent for one reason or another.

Pickering should have been sent on - not De Neve. He's an absolutely crap footballer

Senior player. Probably not happy Eustace left. Decent wage.

the english game is to much for him, when you are that out of your depth you become a liability,he was on a minute and he let the opposing winger outmuscle him

I'm talking about a recurrent habit of falling away and conceding defeat from the jaws of victory or useful points. It doesn't really matter what the pattern of play was, the result was the same.

I suspect we are going to have quite a few games like today where we cry the "unlucky" card but its a game we have thrown away. Dont agree that we "deserved" the win in the first place.

Tavares was being hailed as a replacement and potential improvement on Travis. Showed clear immaturity, I dont think we do lose with Travis playing instead.

We thought that discussion about Travis and contracts were allowed post match. Clearly not. At least they got club mole privy to say he refused to play to try and get fans to turn on him. Probably will work.

Its going to be a long season

If we can hire the digital ad boards outside ewood - would happily chip in for a Pasha Out / Gestede Out / Venkys Out ad

and of course

that lovely quote from Mrs D about respecting Jacks legacy

It's dull nonsense. Most Championship clubs have had a PO campaign or something in the last 10 years to shout about. We've had no POs, we're the biggest club in the EFL never to have played at New Wembley and the highlight of the last 10 years is runners up in League One. With all due respect even that achievement wasn't built upon nor that exciting as a fan. We're in purgatory waiting for whenever the Venkys have had enough and let us collapse.

Bury, Macclesfield and Wimbledon may have been playing minnows, but it was a fun ride and the fans felt engaged and part of something. It's the community asset ethos the game is all about.

The hopes of a revival wither with every year of purgatory as people drift away.
