Ahead of our forthcoming game I’m putting together the opening post for our forum’s (One Team in Bristol, https://www.otib.co.uk/?_fromLogin=1) match thread, which will be posted the day before the match.

I would like to include some perspectives from your fans so if anybody would like to share info please do, anything would be appreciated, fans thoughts about the game, players who have represented both clubs, tales from when we’ve met previously, a fans view on your season, etc.

Chris Crowe was playing on the right wing in my first ever game at Ewood. He came as quite an expensive signing but never really made the grade at Rovers. He had a good spell at Wolves afterwards though.

Stopped in Bristol before the Worthy Cup final in 2002. Bit shit. Wouldn't let us in most pubs in the city centre. Ended up in the crappy back street boozers. Not been back since. Wouldn't recomend.

The thing about Rovers is we are very streaky... Lose a few on the bounce, win a few on the bounce.  So sort of hopeful, which is of course asking for trouble.

After watching highlights of our win I cast an eye over the Bristol City defeat at Stoke.

Bristol certainly like to strike the ball hard from outside the box which was dumb against a keeper of Johansson quality. Their consolation was a nearly undefendable near post back flicked corner.

One Stoke goal was a keeper howler but generally Bristol City defended like statues. Pace and pressure up front needed from us on Tuesday to get in amongst those Ashton Gate defenders.
