  1. No he wasn’t. He was fairly anonymous first half, and had started tiring and giving the ball away long before the winner. We’d been saying before the subs were made that it had to be Garrett or A Wharton on for Morton, and we’re surprised that he stayed on,
  2. In the game at Ewood, we brought Hedges and Brereton on to defend a one goal lead. I felt right up until he made the changes that we would score again in that game. After the changes I can’t recall having the ball in their box.
  3. We’re on about today game on todays thread. Overall he’s done well, and I gave him credit in the last round. But today he’s made a bad decision and it’s cost us. Why so defensive about that obvious statement?
  4. He is overall, but make no mistake he’s fucked that up
  5. JDT tactical masterclass there. Looking generally ok until we switched to 5 at the back and then we didn’t get into their half.
  6. Sheff United fans want to avoid Man City in the semi finals.
  7. I kind of accept games get moved for TV, but there is very rarely any games at 7.45 on a Saturday. That’s just bollocks. That will interfere with peoples plans far more than moving it to any other times at the weekend.
  8. Or 5 in a local derby.
  9. I’m bang in the middle. He wasn’t to blame for relegation and takes huge credit for getting us straight back up. His first couple of seasons back were fine but by the last two seasons I felt there were too many strange decisions, we were not progressing and it was time for a change. I was just constantly told by some that no-one decent would want the job and no-one could do a better job. Many of those people are the ones that now criticise JDT far more than they ever did Mowbray. My post above is my reasoning why.
  10. Too many people over-rated the job he did in an average league, then backed themselves into a corner with “who could do better?, who else could we get? , be careful what you wish for….”. Now they stubbornly won’t accept they were wrong.
  11. Was expecting a Norwich win today so thats a boost.
  12. I wish they’d won to be honest.
  13. Every team in the play off hunt seems to have fairly easy fixtures both midweek and next weekend. We could win against Reading and still be 7th come the internal break.
  14. Brereton could actually have blocked the shot but he kind of just jumped across him
  15. Agree. I certainly don’t think we’re less talented than Stoke though. Against Leicester and Sheff United the players looked like they knew they had to be at 100% in order to get a result. Tonight, like at Rotherham and against Wigan and Swansea, we looked as though we were going through the motions and presuming 70% would be enough and superior talent would overcome. They simply aren’t good enough for that.
  16. Another very bad night at the office from Rovers and it is now imperative we regroup and come back stronger for Reading home game. Some people will underreact about todays result and say it’s only one game, but we need to focus on why we have so many hammerings away under JDT which have jeopardised our play off place this season. Britains cross is what we have missed often this season when, instead of taking men on and crossing to the back post, we pass backwards and sideways too much. Time we started doing that early next game. BBD and Gallagher were both as shite as the rest but did score two headed goals.
  17. Meh. A positive goal difference is for pussies. Has a team ever gone up with a negative goal difference? 😀
  18. Gallagher, Hedges, Rankin-Costello, Brereton hang your heads in shame.
  19. Yeah they signed him just before 11pm on the 31st January. 🙄🙄🙄
  20. Offensively way many misplaced or backward passes. Defensively a lack of effort and concentration. I said on Saturday can we keep that level of application up, and so far it’s a big resounding no.
  21. That is absolutely shocking Rovers.
  22. Is there only me think this lot look wide open and susceptible to being countered?
