imy9 Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 I agree, seen worse in the pl, yellow card offence I think.
DanLad Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 I agree, seen worse in the pl, yellow card offence I think. It'd only be a telling off for a Man U player (maybe not even a free kick at Old Trafford)
Exiled_Rover Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 Can't see a lot wrong with that, was the red card for decent? It was a red card because the player stayed down. Simple as that - refereeing at it's finest.
CrazyIvan Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 It was a red card because the player stayed down. Simple as that - refereeing at it's finest. It wasn't quite a horror tackle was it? A bit late and a yellow but not a straight red.
otto man Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 The last time Stoke won at Ewood was 1986. No-one (in their right mind) is defending Sam's away record but you can't argue that he turned Ewood back into a fortress. Jisty. Neither Philip or I mentioned home games only. My question concerned ALL the games between us. Exactly. I never thought it'd be necessary to explain the difference between losing at home and losing away on here... If that was aimed at me then you haven't understood the question either. Go back and read it again and then give me the answer.
Rover-in-London Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 Another twist: Blackburn manager Steve Kean: "I am delighted to say Chris Samba does not want to hand in that transfer request. He is happy to see how things develop in the transfer market and he is starting to think about staying at the club, which is a bonus for us."
philipl Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 That is fantastic news- Samba is absolutely critical to the Rovers.
imy9 Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 Being cynical does that read as I'm going to wait and see if anyone comes in for me and I have now created a back up option?
AJW Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 Being cynical does that read as I'm going to wait and see if anyone comes in for me and I have now created a back up option? or now that there are new owners i can manipulate a situation were i can get a new contract
King Kenny's Magic Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 Another twist: Blackburn manager Steve Kean: "I am delighted to say Chris Samba does not want to hand in that transfer request. After we sign a few goodies he'll be begging for forgiveness!
Tooogs Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 Yeah keeping Samba would be a massive boost for the team. He has annoyed me recently with that statement but as long as he comes back and does the business on the pitch I don't mind.
67splitscreen Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 I saw West Brom yesterday. There is every chance they will tonk you tomorrow. So it will get worse. Hope you didn't lose to much.
Fylde Coast Fan Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 Being cynical does that read as I'm going to wait and see if anyone comes in for me and I have now created a back up option? More likely "my agent has rung around and no one thinks I'm worth what the club want for me".
nicko Posted December 28, 2010 Author Posted December 28, 2010 Hope you didn't lose to much. A small fraction of the winnings on Arsenal ht-ft last night. But thanks for asking.
King Kenny's Magic Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 A small fraction of the winnings on Arsenal ht-ft last night. But thanks for asking. Now there is(Chelsea)a club in crisis! Red Rom has a habit of cocking things up every couple of years. Now that is a medding owner with bad advisors!
T4E Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 He's 'starting to think about staying at the club'?! Gee, thanks "captain".
Ricky Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 I think that means that he's started to realise there is nobody else willing to match his wage demands so he'll stay put.
nicko Posted December 28, 2010 Author Posted December 28, 2010 I think that means that he's started to realise there is nobody else willing to match his wage demands so he'll stay put. There is potential drama round the corner with the Samba thing. Rather surprisingly, a club is interested. So statements are all very well...but there could be a bid to test the waters in the next couple of days. I am not sure this club will offer enough and I won't be naming them until they do.
S15 Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 Nicko, where are we going to finish in the league?

Having seen Grant Hanley in action today then this is one transfer I wont lose much sleep over.

Wouldn't surprise me if it's Villa after todays debacle..
nicko Posted December 28, 2010 Author Posted December 28, 2010 Nicko, where are we going to finish in the league? Depends who you sign in January. Same as it ever was - that is the key month.
neophox Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 Nicko: Do you know if Rovers have put in some bids on players? With our injury crisis and Nicko now out for 3 games, there should be some additions?

With our injury crisis and Nicko now out for 3 games, there should be some additions? I think there have been calls made in the past few days. Bids? Not so sure. However the club could do with moving quicker than it used to...that is still to be improved by the new regime to be honest.
