Ronaldinho is a trophy. If we get him, fantastic. If we dont then thats that.

The success of this window will come down to the singings that Kean makes. If the 3/4 players he brings in are up to the mark then I think we could have a reasonable finish to the season. Ronnie is a bonus.

If their PR was in order then I doubt anyone on here would be complaining about making approaches to Ronaldinho. Id have him over Beckham any day. But as I said, he is a bonus. The more low key signings are far more significant in my eyes.

Venky's will be judged by the Rovers teamsheet come Feb 1st. We needed cash, that is why they're here. Lets see what they can do.

The most sensible post so far, and exactly my thoughts

I don't know what the heck is happening at my club any more, and it's leaving me despondent, frustrated, angry and confused.

Bottom line is that I don't trust Venky's at all.

I'm still not sure exactly how much of their own capital they have to provide for signings, as opposed to loan capital.

The whole thing has the feeling of a slow-motion train wreck.

He won pretty much everything apart from that though.

Still doesn't compare...

More confusion around Rovers. Venky Rao strongly denied Ronaldinho link to me, while no officials at Ewood know about it. A publicity stunt?

Meanwhilst not the real Venky's (or not):

They wanted 6 million GBP. We intend to buy as many people as possible for 5 million GBP, it's what our great fans want and deserve.

No. Why would they?

I`ve been saying since day one that Indian chicken farmers will know nothing about running a premier league football club.

We`ve gone from a respected club to a ridiculed one.

You're kidding yourself if you think we were respected.

You're kidding yourself if you think we were respected.

We have never been respected by the tabloid media and therefore sheep like fans. However, in the game itself the club was massively repsected for how it had conducted itself under John Williams.

I agree. But didn't Jack realise that to attract the big players he needed to appoint a big manager. At the time Kenny Dalglish was one of the biggest names. I know money talks and we are in different times, but surely a big time manager would be more likely to attract the big players.

It took about 20 failed bids and seven or eight months for that to happen.

Different time and circumstances now.

Venky's want a 'name' somewhere in thd building. That is not a silly idea as you already have a team.

When Jack came in you needed virtually a new team, so that called on a manager who could attract them...and did.

Under the Walkers we were going down, John Williams or no John Williams. We had no money. Venky's clearly have cash and are willing to use it. If they have lofty ambitions then they'll finance them. Its change, its scary, but ultimately something had to happen.

This is the ride which the club needed to take at some stage. Venky's have come under fire over the past month and now is their chance to change some perceptions. The need for big signings and decent players was why they were brought in and its clear that they intend to deliver. Lets see what happens..

Could he cut it Roberto?

Anything coming out of Italy/Milan about our supposed interest?

He was offered about in October like i said yesterday in your neck of the woods. So it's definitely true i reckon.Still reckon he ends up in Brazil though.

If you where to offer his brother a large agent fee, things could change a little though.
