[Archived] Paul Hunt sacked

Recommended Posts

One of Hunt's main tasks given to him by Venkys was to stop In-the-ground protests.

He could be a victim of the owners seeing the chicken/banners/ridicule at the Wigan game and blaming him for not controlling us fans.

Makes sense?

It's petulance, pure and simple.

It's not done for the good of the club, it's done for her pride. She has to be seen to be in control (even as we descend into chaos).

It's like the final days of the Reich.

Paul Hunt is Desai's Fegelein.

FEGELEIN! BRING ME FEGELEIN!

Nothing around Ewood makes sense OJ.

Like a hospital ward infected by deadly viruses, the club needs closing down, all the evil b****rds routing out and then reopening when in a "fit and proper" condition.

Going at this rate. Kean the asshole will be the last one standing!

The more that happens, the more power Kean holds than we realise.

Going off what has happened previously, i would have a guess that a new contract for Kean is around the corner.

Why sack him now and not when he sent it?

Why sack the man who had a plan that could have avoided him?

Why?

Why?

Why?

It's pointless, I hope people start returning season tickets these lot don't deserve a penny from us

Completely agree.. why now?

Makes me question whether it is anything to do with the letter as to why he's been sacked or if it was just unfortunate timing. Surely if it was because of the letter they would have sacked him when they received it. Maybe they never received it?

Maybe they believe he leaked it.. who knows what goes through their minds. But to sack someone for leaking something surely they need proof so as to not get sued for wrongful dismissal?

Northern Rover‏@Northern_Rover @carsten86 @he6rt6gr6m not been sacked, but few people close to Venky's saying he will be if we are relegated (meaning Kean).

And I don't think it will stop there !

What price for Karen Silk to be soon named as Chief Exec. with the Hunts departing the scene along with Agnew ? ;)

I wouldn't be offering long odds.

A feckin disgrace but no surprise.

We really are in meltdown.

In the bubble which our owners clearly exist back in India, it makes perfect sense. They are completely clueless.

Oddly enough I've just been defending Paul Hunt on the Lancs Evening Telegraph site, where people were saying he was the same as the rest. He clearly wasn't.

Let's be honest, it looks like Venky's were sold up the garden path by someone. Therefore who is the main reason we are in this mess? Who got Sam Alardyce sacked? Who got John Williams sacked? Who got Steve Kean appointed? Who got their unplayable son on the wage bill? Who is still undoubtedly pulling the strings? Who probably encouraged the sacking of Paul Hunt?

Since the club's inception in 1875, no-one has damaged the club more than that one person - not even close. For him, as a lifelong Arsenal fan, the well being of Blackburn Rovers probably came a very sorry second to having the chance to play the big I am at a Premier League football club. Unfortunately this selfish behaviour has left the club in arguably the sorriest position in it's history - certainly amongst it's fans.

Did Venky's really need him anyway?

CEO chould wield teh power at Ewood, he was deputy, what was his role exactly?

I would argue that Kean is de facto CEO.

I guess Hunt won't be replaced, can they get away with that in company law? Shouldn't the company have a CEO?

Mrs D is the CEO.

This is really bad news, it indicates the defiance of Venky's. It looks as if Kean & Venky's are going to rip this club apart.

What the hell are we supposed to do now? Can't take much more of this ######, its never ending!

Something is seriously wrong at Ewood. I've never believed that Venky's were in innocent ignorance, noone invests 23 million quid without a clear mission and investigating what they are investing in.

That Kean is still here whilst almost everyone has moved on tells me something very sinister is going on here. We are Fooked.

See all this strategically.

1/ It has to get worse before it gets better

2/ Chelsea have to perform well on Saturday -last home match, send off for Champs League

3/Venkys to see Rovers in all their embarrassingly weak disarray at Chelski

4/The more that happens in May/June...the more the chance to re-assemble in July/August

5/ The FA must be watching in horror

6/ Easy journalism for the Media pre-Euro 2012

7/ Rovers fans suddenly have moral high-ground

Now what shall BRAG and the fans do now:

-silent vigil outside Ewood

-coffin procession

-scarves etc on the railings like after Uncle Jack's death

We need to add to the overall sense of alarm and despondency.

BRSIT get ready quietly.

Anybody else rekon there is a chance venkys will have another go at bringing in Adam Pearson now hes been sacked from hull, ideally as head chairman, or is this just more wishfull thinking.

As for Hunt allthough i respect him for at least having a go at convincing the owners to sack kean ect...., it does also seem he did just become another follower once his letter was ignored, he should have walked once he found out the email had just been directed into keans inbox, i dont think he would have made a strong Head CEO.

hopfully their will be many more sackings once the chelski games out of the way, Kean/Agnew next.

The FA have to investigate why a once football coach, and now premier league 'manager', weilds more power than any other individual at Ewood. I believe there has been some very dodgy transfer dealings. Nick Harris hinted at this on his twitter account on Monday night regarding the Formica deal.

Kean won't get sacked. The question has to be why. He knows too much IMO

You know it's just occurred to me.

NO ONE READ THE ORIGINAL LETTER IN PUNE OR HE WOULD HAVE BEEN SACKED THEN! :o

At least Henry Winter is reporting we're being touted round for sale in the middle and far east now. Although Brockhole is now up for sale for housing!

Must have wiped 30million of our value.

What are you buying - a tarnished brand, Pleasington 2nd team and no Brockhole.......FFS.
