Stuart Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 Well, somehow we are in the 6th round. Unbelieveable. A heads-up then for the 6th Round Draw (Quarter Finals in old money). The draw is at 5.55pm tomorrow (Sunday 17 February 2013) - EDIT: on ITV1, ESPN and FA TV Going to be a strange one since Man Utd/Reading and a 4th round tie will only just have been decided by that point. In the hat will be: 1 Huddersfield Town or Wigan Athletic 2 Barnsley 3 Oldham Athletic or Everton 4 Millwall 5 Arsenal Blackburn Rovers 6 Manchester City or Leeds United 7 Manchester United or Reading 8 Middlesbrough or Brentford or Chelsea A long way to go to finalise the fixtures though; number 8 won't be confirmed until 27th Feb(!). I don't really care who we draw. Well... except for the fact that we could be 90 minutes away from Wembley...

G Somerset Rover Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 For the love of God, not United, Man City or Chelsea away. After the stitch up of a draw for the 5th round we deserve a plum tie at home.
SydneyRover Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 Basically hoping for 1-4 rather than 6-8. Home draw would be great though if we had one of the big teams.
Backroom Tom Posted February 16, 2013 Backroom Posted February 16, 2013 Barnsley at home would be very nice but any game is going to be massive A home tie will see the biggest non Burnley gate of the season, a good performance and many of those fans may stay
roversfan99 Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 Does the losing finalist still get a Europa League place if the winner has already got into Europe via their league position?
Salgado Is A Hero Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 Not Utd, CIty or Chelsea please. Or Everton away. Rather play Wigan away than Everton at home as well. Home to Barnsley would be lovely.
SydneyRover Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 It's not a bad combination when 50% of the possible ties we could have are easily winnable
G Somerset Rover Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 Does the losing finalist still get a Europa League place if the winner has already got into Europe via their league position? Yes they do. Promotion via the play-offs and an FA Cup final appearance in the offing. We can dream, and why not after today.
perthblue02 Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 Looking at the line up the FA are going to have to give some serious thought to who they consider the easiest tie for Man Utd is going to be. Could be a couple of slightly tacky balls in the machine , can't see Budweiser being too happy with a Rovers v Huddersfield final
cn174 Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 Someone easy at home. I might have a dilemma. I've booked to go away from 10th May to 17th, didn't really think about the FA Cup final! Might just have to cancel it!!
Stuart Posted February 16, 2013 Author Posted February 16, 2013 Steady on Clare! We'll probably get Chelsea away - it's about the worst possible outcome as things stand. Oldham 1-0 up though. Just maybe...

I'll join you for a glass of VB in November if that happens!

riverside returns Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 What is the odds for Man utd h Man city h Chelsea h Everton h I wonder. Just Have sneaky for mill wall a tho
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted February 16, 2013 Moderation Lead Posted February 16, 2013 Would be odd if we ended up drawing Millwall away, after all, that's the game we'll have to re-arrange due to today's results!!
riverside returns Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 Think that would do most but won't happen cos their ball and ours will be too cold for that.
Amo Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 Great to see Oldham grab a last-gasp equalizer against that @#/? Moyes.

Mike Graham Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 I would guess Millwall away on Sunday lunchtime.
jim mk2 Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 The FA Cup committee and TV companies will be devastated by our unexpected victory today. Arsenal can expect a letter of admonishment from them for letting them down. They will make sure we get Chelsea / United / City away in the quarter-finals and this time bribe the ref just to make sure.
