Neal Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 Just broke that he's gone. Heavily linked with Rovers on numerous occasions, I wouldn't want him here personally but I'm sure it will lead to some speculation no doubt.

Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted May 13, 2014 Moderation Lead Posted May 13, 2014 Are you sure it won't cause a 'meltdown' amongst the fanbase? Or was that Billy McKinlay?
Kamy100 Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 He won't be out of a job for long, will have a number of job offers.
Neal Posted May 13, 2014 Author Posted May 13, 2014 I'm sure if Shebby were still here we'd be in for a summer of uncertainty. He'd be falling over himself to get Sherwood. He won't be out of a job for long, will have a number of job offers. Norwich probably.
Stuart Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 He won't be 'good enough' for Rovers and then he'll end up at a PL or othe Championship club.
Backroom DE. Posted May 13, 2014 Backroom Posted May 13, 2014 The way he manages is suspect imo, but he's still green and will adjust in time. His record as Spurs boss is decent, and I reckon another club in the prem will give him an opportunity.
somersetrover Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 I'd love to see Sherwood as manager, he'd bring real passion and honesty back to the club.
Neal Posted May 13, 2014 Author Posted May 13, 2014 Think the championship would suit his managerial style.
den Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 Singh's choice wasn't he - along with signing Rhodes to get us promoted.
joey_big_nose Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 Not convinced. A bit like ince. More passion than ideas. I think he will struggle whereever he is.
JBiz Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 I think the whole Tottenham scenario is a joke. Year after year, sell a star for a big price and waste the money on a plethora of replacements of a lesser ilk. It wouldn't be that bad but the replacements are chosen by directors and advisors, which seems ridiculous when the manager or coach is judged on how these players perform.
Hekla Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 I would like him here if we needed a new manager, his win percentage for Spurs has been good.
Mr. E Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 Sack a manager when he finishes 6th...do Spurs really think they should be in the champions league every season or some nonsense like that?
chaddyrovers Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 Sherwood PL record was better than Redknapp and AVB. Spurs think they are a big club. they arent at all Sherwood was very honest to the media and Levy wouldnt have liked that i bet. can see Sherwood either Norwich, West Ham or Southampton.
SouthAussieRover Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 Almost every other manager must wish they were Arsenne Wenger..has won @#/? all trophies for the last few years but his team gets into the Champions League. Money money money....
Gav Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 Bowyer has more than earned another season as manager, Sherwood will have to wait.
den Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 Sherwood PL record was better than Redknapp and AVB. Spurs think they are a big club. they arent at all Sherwood was very honest to the media and Levy wouldnt have liked that i bet. can see Sherwood either Norwich, West Ham or Southampton. They are a very big club Chaddy.
lraC Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 Talking about ex Rovers connections, it looks like Big Sam is on his way too .He is in talks with the owners and I can't seem him lasting the day. The bulk of the fans want him out and I think they will get their way!
broadsword Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 Spurs are badly-run for the amount of money they plough in. Can't really compare Sherwood to Ince, for one thing I'd expect the former has his badges.
thenodrog Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 Talksport have him going to Brighton...... not that what they broadcast means owt.
