One visit to the stadium on matchday would provide a hard dose of reality. He simply doesn't get it. I'm living a lot further away and I'm completely plugged into what's happening. This guy's just a complete fucking smeg. Edit to add: I'm still calling the club's bluff. Ismael out Rooney in! Edited April 16 by Upside Down 1 Quote

Watching those cretins melt under the media spotlight is absolutely glorious. Also, it might have to get worse before it gets better. Edited April 16 by Upside Down 2 Quote
bigbrandjohn Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago Steve Waggott is out with just a cursory thanks for the work done. The King is dead long live the king, whoever he may be Maybe a palace coup or perhaps he said the wrong thing on a Venkys Zoom call. Like, Valerian would like to increase the transfer budget. 2 Quote

No way he is going to face up to interviews, be named in articles and generally put his head above the parapet. It took him 10 years to attend a fans forum. He’ll be as much in control as he has been during Waggots reign, which may well be fully anyway. Edited 14 hours ago by Hasta 2 Quote
Mattyblue Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Will it make a difference to the club? Nah. Not really. Will it make a difference to me seeing that leech miss out on pocketing hundreds of thousand more in ill gotten gains whilst swanning around in a club tie… yes, yes it will. 2 Quote
LeftWinger Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Lack of class from the club again. Steve wasn't the problem. 2 Quote
Upside Down Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago No surprise at all. You could see this from a mile off, especially with his egregious pension contributions of recent. Good riddance, hopefully the rest of his life is filled with pain and mystery. 1 Quote

NeilInBristol Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Fascinating turn of events. Possibly Steve wanted to support the women's and owners didn't? No coincidence the timing of it all Quote

He's useless, unbelievably bad at communicating and seemingly quiet dense. It further adds to our argument that the ownership is not fit for purpose and needs to be removed by any means necessary. 2 Quote

You couldn't get better publicity for the cause than that! Its a pity the site doesn't have a bigger circulation. Well done. 1 Quote
RevidgeBlue Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago (edited) Just seen a decent article online alleging Waggott and the owners clashed over the women's team. Apparently a meeting was held last season at which a firm which invests in women's football by taking an equity share offered external investment into the Rovers women's side. The article alleges that Waggott would have been up for such investment but the owners refused because they thought the optics of accepting investment for the women but not the men's team looked bad. Interesting if true. Edit: It might be this Company have done us a massive favour by hastening Waggott's long overdue departure even if they didn't get their investment. roversfan99 Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago If that is true then surely it reflects well on Waggott and terribly on the owners? You are just continuing to deflect away from the real problem. Quote

WacoRover Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Part of the problem is gone. Rovers, Please do not simply replace one sycophant with another. Quote
JHRover Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago I think at best we are getting a Broughton type external appointment - someone relatively inexperienced who would love to add Blackburn Rovers and Championship to his CV who would probably have good intentions, come in and realise what a joke the club is and be gone again within 12 months More likely is they let the 'search' drag on for months, this will be an excuse for another botched summer, with ultimately the remaining trio filling the void and curtain twitcher consolidating his power. 2 Quote

Tomphil2 Posted 46 minutes ago Posted 46 minutes ago I mean who would care if some firm offered a few hundred grand for the women's team ? I doubt anybody would bat an eyelid in fact knowing the finances most fans would say good at least it leaves the club a few extra quid in the pot. So this 'fans would be angry' rubbish doesn't cut it at all it is imo yet another excuse for the ownership who have rebuffed even the mere suggestion of outside investment at every turn. Also happy to sit back and see big local company stand sponsorship withdraw without speaking to them and also happy to have no shirt sponsorship for a season. This blame the fans for everything narrative is now becoming a bit tedious seeing as they've never taken a blind bit of notice for 15 years in fact actively sticking their fingers up to us at times. 1 Quote
