Sadly, Wigan look more up for it.

What is Buckley doing on that field?  Travis only marginally better.

Dack and BBD poor.

Vale not involved enough - a couple of decent moments but we need much, much, much more from our centre forward.

As for Thomas - disappointing.  Good job his crossing and set plays are good !!! (hope that's not lost on some).

We've had some good play. For about 20 minutes we were well on top, but we've got too many passengers.

Vale has been awful, weak and slow barring one nice bit of play towards the end.

Worst I've seen Brereton play since he became Diaz. Between him and Vale for the worst player on the pitch.

Wharton. How many times does he over commit and get caught out of position, way up the pitch. Looks like he's learnt from Lenihan but misses out more than Lenihan did.

Apart from that the rest of them have been OK. We look like we've got more overall quality than Wigan but they've got some strong runners all across the pitch.

I look at this more positive than most.

That goal goes in, team on a high, we play with more confidence. 1-0.

Another goes in, 2-0. Wigan in for a trouncing.

We sign a striker or two and we’re laughing. Not long till…

Summer? 😩

Waggott looks like the Penguin from Batman

Come on, that’s not fair. On Penguin.

Thought Trav looked decent in the first half, couple of good tackles and forward runs.

But even Stevie Wonder could see that Vale needs replacing; it’s like playing with 10.

Should be a couple of goals up, so there’s 3 points waiting for us here if we can take one of these chances.

Well my decision not to freeze my nuts off and attend in person has paid off. I've spent the £50 quid or so so turning my central heating on for two hours. Very poor and Diaz is welcome to his Spanish passport. There must be a striker out there who can score goals, Rhodes was a diamond whilst here.

Should be 2-0 up at least.

Squandered chances and several moments when a shot should have been a pass to a better placed player. When Travis shot Dack was in a perfect place to score, unmarked.

And this is why we fail.

Brereton's miss was a bad one. The others, as you said, could have passed to others in better positions to score.

Wigan have had more of the ball but haven't looked like scoring.

Vale has been quiet, without much service.

Thomas has been OK in parts. I thought he was a dead ball specialist? I've not seen anything of that yet. He had one corner that ended up going straight out near the other corner flag.
