Trinidad Rover Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Wonderful for Adam and our academy. Imagine this will be the first of many trophies in his career. 1 Quote
bigbrandjohn Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago So sad not to see him in the celebrations. So proud of him. One of a kind talent. 2 Quote

simongarnerisgod Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago i hope this palace victory brings an end to the mania that possesion is everything, hopefully a new era of tactics has risen with the main focus being scoring goals despite not having much of the ball, palace played a retro game of long balls down the flanks and mateta running the channels, like football used to be 3 Quote
chaddyrovers Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Delighted for Wharton and Palace winning the FA cup and they deserved it. Dean Henderson was outstanding 1 Quote
sharpysharps86 Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Gutted for Adam that he didn't get to take part in the celebrations on the pitch, but huge congratulations to him and Palace. Always good to see someone different lift a trophy, and Palace have never won anything major. They deserve it. 1 Quote

Probably take success for granted, seeing Rovers' rich history across the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries. But blew my mind a little than a fairly prominent club like Palace had never won a proper trophy in their history until today. 2 Quote

A major domestic trophy would be the top division, FA Cup or League Cup, in my opinion. 1 Quote

roversfan99 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Cryptic, but even so, makes absolutely no difference to us unfortunately. Might be used to further justify us getting a poor fee though. 5 Quote
Wheelton Blue Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Any Rovers fan - certainly those of us who were there that day - being 'delighted' for Crystal Bloody Palace winning anything, needs to give their head a wobble. 3 Quote

I mean, I wasn't there, it was maybe 3 years before I got into football. But from what I infer from the moaning I see, a lot of people are holding a grudge against them for more than 30 years because a referee handled the game poorly and cost us promotion. Which doesn't sound like good reasoning. I'm sure someone can tell me what I'm missing about it. Edited 1 hour ago by bluebruce Quote

Maybe it's a bit of envy also, Wharton should be celebrating winning the FA Cup with Rovers but thanks to the chicken overlords any opportunities for anything like that have been extinguished. Deliberately. Edited 59 minutes ago by Upside Down Quote

Agreed. Not even sure why this thread still gets much action. He left. Yes, he was pushed towards the door, but he left. He signed the contract (and his agent was doing a very good job of raising his profile in the 6 months prior to the exit). Good luck to him. I even hope to see him back at Rovers at some point in the future, but so long as he isn't here then I have no reason to hope that his clubs do well. I was hoping City smashed them. Find Palace fans insufferable. Quote
