roversfan99 Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago Liverpool are the strongest side and should win the league. Still not convinced by Arteta who is also a knobhead. 4 Quote

roverandout Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Granit xhaka has catapulted Sunderland into a midtable team. Can't believe leverkusen were willing to let him go Quote
roversfan99 Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago He is a great signing but he doesnt push them up that for. Theyve been ambitious in terms of spending but they are still favourites to go down. 3 Quote
longsiders1882 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago So Kyle Walker, 6 times PL winner, Champions League winner, FA Cup etc etc is finished and a bad signing whilst Granit Xhaka, who pretty much failed in the PL, makes a team 6/7 places better? It’s a funny old world but I’m not so sure but we will see. My main memory of him was calamitous mistakes a couple of times a game. That said they have made some good signings so we shall see. I do think the promoted teams might have a better chance than recent seasons if Bournemouth and Brentford are as damaged as they appear but I still see us as clear favourites for the drop. It is becoming a real issue today that as a fan you regard promotion to the top flight with such ambiguity, wanting it but then dreading the coming season. Quote
simongarnerisgod Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago i can see brentford struggling this year,if they lose any more of their better players burnley, who don`t seem to be bothering about signing a centre forward🙂 the last place for the drop is up for grabs,i think sunderland and leeds will manage to survive, it`d be an absolute mana from heaven if man utd got sucked into the relegation fight, they were lucky last year that the bottom three had no idea of how to defend,id`e gladly trade burnley staying up for utd going down 😁 Quote

To be fair, they are totally different situations. Walker is older and his game was heavily reliant on pace. That is on the wane and his performances have fallen off a cliff in the last couple of years. Xhaka towards the end of his Arsenal career really improved and played an integral role at Leverkusen especially in their title win. They didnt seem keen for him to go. 1 Quote
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted 29 minutes ago Posted 29 minutes ago No way would I be signing Walker to play right back in a back four today. On the right side of three centre backs in a back five, possibly. When your pace goes it can go awfully quickly. Quote
